Michael Jakobsen, who looks like he is in training for Movember , talks to the press.
Newcastle have not played a league game for 5 weeks and they have 4 games in hand.
And AUW win again!
Going from strength to strength.

I feel like we are really benefiting from being one of the few teams playing regularly.
It was evident against the Roar that we were starting to hit our straps. Well drilled and match fit.
We need to make it count whilst we can.
Who's gonna step up to score in Goody's absence?

Wouldn't mind seeing Cavallo out wide with Kitto at LB.

Am I the only one who thinks the Cavallo out wide experiment has to end? He has struggled at left back while he played the Cup game against Victory on the wing and looked completely lost.Wouldn't mind seeing Cavallo out wide with Kitto at LB.
He clearly plays his best football in midfield and I’m worried that shoehorning him into the team out of position is only harming his development.

Agree, chuck a young winger out there and see how he goes rather than putting a player there who is out of form and out of position.Am I the only one who thinks the Cavallo out wide experiment has to end? He was a revelation as an overlapping full back last season, but is a shadow of that player today.
Back to basics in his natural position would be best for Cavallo now, but I don’t think our current formation suits him. He’s not an AM like Mauk, he’s not a deep lying ball player like Juande, he’s not a midfield destroyer like Isaias.
He’s probably best as one side of a midfield three.
IMO he’s now a back up player who’ll be used to cover absences.

Win and we go 3rd.
I know we’ve played extra games, but still that’s exciting and it feels like we’re in the mix.

Agreed. We've been rather fortunate on that front.I feel like we are really benefiting from being one of the few teams playing regularly.
