Absolutely unreal player. Lucky to have kept him for so long. Hope he kills it over there and comes back one day!

Re: Bye, bye dear Ben ...
One of our best signings in recent years and seems to be a good character too.
In addition to that, he seemed to really enjoy playing for the club and living in Adelaide.
All the best Benny and hopefully we see you in a red shirt again someday

Best player at the reds IMO, not surprised he is leaving though as he has quality.
And we all know that deep down this is s as massive loss which will be unlikely to be replaced, especially judging recent signings!

Yep he's been our most consistent forward for a long time now. I'm sad to see him go but when an overseas offer comes along at 29 years old, you need to grab that opportunity. Hopefully we haven't burned any bridges and we might see him back again in a couple of years. Carl seemed a bit bitter in the presser.Best player at the reds IMO, not surprised he is leaving though as he has quality.

Good luck to him and hopefully he comes back to South Australia, even if it is after he hangs up his boots.

It was inevitable, you could see it in his body language last season. He’s a very talented player and needs to be playing with similar. Harsh, I know. I suspect Goody will be recalled by his loan club if he has any aspirations for the World Cup.

Goody’s club got relegated so he’s better off staying here which is great for us!It was inevitable, you could see it in his body language last season. Some vague links there so who knows.Halloran, 27, said it stems back to 1952 when his grandparents Clive and June Halloran bought a huge farming property on Kangaroo Island where his father Jon Halloran was born.
Don't begrudge the guy at all, 29 and probably his last big payday overseas plus it's good football in Korea - best of luck.

Oh dear.
With all the Japanese players going to Celtic to join Big Ange I suppose they would need a top up from somewhere else.
Good luck to Stefan if he gets his chance.
Interesting season this one.
https://indaily.com.au/sport/manton-st- ... tain-mauk/InDaily understands Adelaide offered Mauk one of the most lucrative contracts in the club’s history, however Mauk’s Japanese offer exceeds it, and insiders say he has advised the Reds he wants to have another crack overseas.
InDaily has sought comment from Adelaide United and Mauk’s agent Vince Grella, but has not received a response.

Re: Bye, bye dear Ben ... Cheerio Captain Stefan?
Disappointing that our captain wants to go mid season, especially if the reports are true that AUFC offered a significantly increased offer.
However, if money comes in for him, use it to replace him with a proper #10, and a striker that scores goals. Isaias gets the armband and his preferred number back, then all will be fine.
If we fail to bring in quality however, which is also likely, we are in for a difficult season.

A little. Japanese season is calendar so most heading up this way do so around this time.Disappointing that our captain wants to go mid season, especially if the reports are true that AUFC offered a significantly increased offer.
Good luck to him. He's a different sort of player to what they are used to here so it will be interesting to see how it pans out. I'm not entirely sure, to be honest.
