We are back at Coopers welcoming back a swathe of ex-Reds in Jamieson (who's likely to talk himself into a yellow), Leckie (yet to hit his stride), Galloway, Griffiths & Gomulka (regretting leaving us? I suspect so). They weren't anything special against the Roar, however got the job done. They'll only get better and have a serious amount of firepower.

That said, I can see Yengi getting under their skin quick smart and was happy with our CB pairing last week; Tratt's reading of the play was good.

How did Cavallo pull up? The way he went down towards the end of last week's game was worrying, even if he managed to play out the game. We are going to need him this week.

Big test against the favourites.

A very inspiring open round but this will be at another level.

Hopefully a big crowd turns up to spur the boys on as we will definitely need that extra advantage.

I think we go in unchanged if everyone is fit. Unless Goody is ready for 90 mins I reckon he starts on the bench.

Quietly confident against MC Petrodollars. It is their overconfidence which always undoes them against us. Keep the ball away from McLaren, wait for 2 yellows to that gobby sh!te Jamieson, get our wingers involved at the other end .... job done.

9:45am kick off CET.

Get into the Melbourne teams straightaway!
Good test for the team at Hindmarsh.

"Great" way to start the "lock down" weekend.
Snow is predicted from Friday but it will probably be more like sleet where we are.

COME ON UNITED!!!
I have a feeling of Déjà vu but what else is new ...

Don't forget to download your vax certificate beforehand & get ther early if you can!

I'm predicting a bit of chaos at the gates - it's pretty disorganised at the best of times.

Blackwood will be the only player to miss out so I’m expecting to see the same XI with Timotheou added to the bench.

I've downloaded my Vax certificate to Google Pay. It seemed like it will be the easiest way, especially creating a shortcut to it on my mobile home screen. Displaying on the mySA gov app seems a bit fiddly, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Anyway the google pay short cut is pretty straight forward, just need to use a security pin or finger print to display it.

Touch and go if I'll make this one. There's a family function that may end up at our place (yay!) or the Brother-in-laws (Boo!). Actually I quite like my Brother-in-law but it will mean I can't see the game.
