negative - still 2 points lost. They had a clear advantage attacking down both wings and an opposition unable/unwilling to counter it, and yet scores remained level.
Would have taken a point at the start of the night but boy did we have the chances to win.
You could tell Perth hadn't left the kingdom of WA for some time as they were very rusty.
D'Arrigo really needs to add finishing to his game, it's prevented Kitto from going to the next level also. Never got a proper replay of why our goal was disallowed.
Found the coverage pretty poor overall, knew it would be quality when Kenny Lowe was using “we” when describing Perth.
AU dominated and looked good for long periods but as usual can’t finish this into goals to capitalise on the good play. Agree with previous comments on Kitto, does a lot right but can’t finish the hard work with decent strikes or crosses!
A promising start but very thin depth if another CB or Yengi was to get injured

No word on Ansell coming off at half time?
Goodwin with an early chance and denied by an excellent save
He's been nursing a groin strain through out pre season, club is taking it very easy with him

If Yengi is injured, we have Toure and Blackwood. Plenty of depth for a one-game-a-week 26 game season.
We have Jakobsen, Tratt, Timotheu and Ansell at CB. Plenty without even considering Isa or Juande or a youth backup.
I think we need to remember the limitations on squad size and how short the season is.
I think the biggest hole in our squad is the fact we don't have a number 10.
That was much, much better than I expected. We were all over the Shame for most of the first half and it could easily have been 3 - 1 our way by the half. It took a rocket from Fornaroli to get them on to the scoresheet; they produced almost nothing for the first 45. The ground had 17,000 Shame fans there, but it was nearly silent for the whole first half; they only made some noise after Fornaroli dragged them back into it. So even the Shame fans though that they were terrible.
It was the Shame that were rusty and we looked sharp and up for it.
I'm feeling much more positive about facing MC Petrodollars this weekend now.
