We sure are making it hard for ourselves.
We must get it right this week.

Come on United!

Will we have Veart on the bench for the game?
Apparently in trouble for his comments on the referee after the game.
WSW will be tough, they have to win to have any chance.

Spend a minimum of $10 on the MyMaccas app to get a free family pass to the game. Even if you don't eat MacDonald's, you could get 3 bottles of water or a couple of coffees.

Shame I bought my tickets last week, although you probably won't get to choose seats. Fortunately there isn't a bad seat to watch a football game at Cooper'sImage

I'm actually a bit sick of hearing Carl whinge to the refs.
It wasn't becoming of Marco Kurz and it's not a good look for him. Focus on what you can control because Matchday at this point appears to be his weakness.

On to the game, must win if we're to do anything in finals.

We were outplayed. Can’t use the Ref as an excuse. That’s the sign of Coach under pressure who’s run out of ideas.

My XI would be-

Delianov
Strain-Marrone-Jakobsen-Javi Lopez
D'arrigo-Cavallo
Halloran-Mauk-Goodwin
Juric

I didn't like Lopez in DM last week, prefer him at LB. Juric gets 45-60 mins depending on fitness.

I dont know if WSW still play 3 at the back but hopefully they do and it gives Goody and Halloran some space and time on the wings to measure their crosses to the forehead of Juric or the top of the box cutback for Mauk.

I feel like we will be playing finals football, just not sure we'll see it at Cooper's.

DM needs to be something of a cultivated mongrel. Lopez has the cultivation, but lacking that essential element.

D'Arrigo has it which is why I much prefer him screening the back four as opposed to being pushed forward.

Agree with all that.

Agree with all that.

I just can't see how you can leave Kitto out. He's been one of the best performers over the last few games and the Kitto/Goodwin and Strain/Halloran combos on the flanks are the team's best route to goal. Especially with Tomi at the pointy end with that extra bit of nouce to get into the right areas in the box.
Lopez won't be up against Ninkovic and co this week.

Fair call, my reasoning was that Lopez will bring Goodwin into the game more, can cross and has played well every game in LB.

I will never complain about Kitto's effort but his final ball is incredibly lacking. Look at his crossing last game, at least twice the ball went straight into touch. He's one of those players that gets into dangerous positions but rarely is dangerous. Good squaddie but more of a multi position backup player than a starter for me personally.

We have an surplus of strikers and left backs.................. this is Adelaide United, isn't it?
