When ever I used to ref my club the players hated it. Went too far in making sure I wasn’t biased. Ended up biased against my own team.

This ref every 50/50 foul for Sydney is paid. Every 50/50 foul for Adelaide is waived away.

What a shame that when we finally look like we might be dangerous (and even hit the post and have a penalty appeal) they hit us on the counter.

Even so, Sydney have been the best team all night.

0-4 now.

That’s unlike you to post something negative The Claw. 😆

Mate I put my hand in pocket and fork out for memberships each season and nearly every one of them follow a similar pattern. Start well get to Rd 20 and it goes downhill from there and we either scrape into finals or miss out. Fact is tonight was easy for SFC, AU offered zilch and that is all there is to it.
You will find that I am positive when we play well, we haven’t for a while and that is all there is to it.

Sydney were bigger, faster, stronger and more skilful. Even with the ref in their pocket, they bossed the game and made us look like an U17s side brought in to do a slightly better job than dummies. There are nights like this.....they're not fun.
Bobo suckered Elsey and Elsey is old enough to know better. We still have no DM sorted. We still have injuries in key positions. Al Hassan was made to look like a very young player by some very good players. Hopefully he realises this. The goal was nice but the game was over. Mauk is cooked. Not his fault.
Boys against men. Roll on Thursday night.

Reckon only WU have handled all the extra fixtures worse than us. Too many injuries to key players and we don't have any depth to cover for extended periods. All these things were pointed out before the start of the season so this shouldn't be suprisingly.

Still was disappointing to see veterans in their team out doing our much younger players in aspects of the game we should have an advantage. Mentally they look spent.

Bobo, Le Fondre, Barbarouses
Ninkovic, Caceres, Brattan (Baumjohan spare)
Wilkinson, McGowan, Grant
Redmayne

Ninkovic is now an Aussie, so that’s only 4 imports, but how much does this team cost?

Compare that to our imports & internationals - Jacobsen, Lopez, Juande, Goodwin & Mauk.

Fair enough. Tonight was definitely tough to sit through in the freezing cold.

Calm down everyone, it's just like Carl has been saying for weeks.

We just need a bit more belief

That's all. We don't need better tactics or a better manager. Just some belief.

Couldn't make this match - thankfully. Don't think I'll be hunting for the replay.
