Exactly.
So glad we didn't end up changing our formation and trying to be more defensive in a 442 like previous weeks. We invite way too much pressure when we do that.
Considering we were a bit unlucky with injuries to Yengi with no other striker in the squad and then sort of Mauk, we played well, did what we had to do. Could have maybe had one more. The substitutions were good enough but showed our lack of depth. Improved from last couple of weeks and a game that we needed to win for our finals chances and for the morale boost of taking 9 points off Victory for the first time in 15 years.

Substitutions were like for like, so we kept our formation well. Well done CV, learned from past two weeks.
Goodwin (who IMO has been off the boil recently) was back to his best tonight. Rarely turning back, always looking to go forward first. And he showed Juric & Yengi how to finish a one on one with the keeper with composure.
Great result.
And how good is Cavallo with that assist!!
