Clear red card, bet Evans spoke to the VAR so he could get out of giving it.

Can’t believe they didn’t add more time, he took a while to give the red.

Red card to Grant with Goodwin denied.
Game over.
AU did very well to turn that around.
Excellent away comeback draw with AU in the ascendancy .

Good point in the end. A bit disappointed that this is the second game in two weeks where an Adelaide attacker has drawn a correct red card against a defender, but they've just gone down like their work is done instead of trying to actually make a goal out of it.
Mauk should have been pulled earlier, clearly isn't fit.
D'Arrigo not bad, but is showing signs of someone who doesn't fear losing his spot (in a bad way)
Timotheou is the exact inverse of one of those strikers who will go 70 minutes without touching the ball until one half-chance falls their way and they take it.

We know Veart doesn't rate Marrone but Timotheou is a massive weak link. Has good distribution but can't set a trap, can't get back quick enough, can't block effectively and he gets caught out too often having to overstretch to reach a ball.
Good comeback by the team though. We looked in it the whole game apart from the acres of space behind our back line.
My first thought on the red card was Goodwin shouldn't have gone down there, not worth it at that point of the game. On replay I saw the foul was too strong for him to keep his feet.
Considering our workload, fitness levels and how bad our passing has been lately, a draw away against a strong Sydney team is a good result.

Timotheou has a beautiful left foot. Tragically he can't run fast, can't hold position and gives the opposition at least one goal a game. Comes a time....
Mind you, quite what we were attempting with the high back line when the Sydney forward line was 20m faster than us.....? Suicidal much.
Great Elsey goal. Great Tomi goal. Tomi's slow and too often not there but you can't complain when he scores most weeks.
Muakie's having some poor weeks but he'll come good.
A bloody good result that could have as easily been a shellacking or a good win to us. Love this team despite all the inconsistencies.

Had to watch on delay but glad I hung in there.
Might be worth resting Mauk against the Nix and see if he can get right, clearly not 100% and can't run out a game.
Not Carl's best game, needed our spark earlier changes should have been made.
Cavallo very good a LB again for a novice, liked D'Arrigo's game as well. Is Yengi injured? Actually prefer him up top to Juric.
All up a good point, can see us battling it out in finals with SFC, our youth vs their experience, will be interesting.

Great comeback. Great point. The high defensive line made our defence look worse than it was. Great scrambling defence kept it to 2-0 when it could have been more.
I’m not a Timotheou fan, but I thought he looked good again this week, without any glaring schoolboy errors.

Watched the game on replay and was pleased with the way we responded to being two down. Cavello is looking better each match and Strain surely has to be on the plane to Tokyo.
Good game from Gaucci who kept us in it.
In the end we looked the better team and that is pleasing indeed.
The Fox commentary team did my head in. Sydney were constantly referred to as the "champions" and none of Gaucci's saved rated even a minor mention. For one they actually spent time musing on whether Baumjohann had shaped himself correctly rather than offer any credit at all to our young keeper.

We seem to be the "extras", the supporting cast who only have a minor walk on roll.Watched the game on replay and was pleased with the way we responded to being two down. Cavello is looking better each match and Strain surely has to be on the plane to Tokyo.

Would love to get an injury update from the club. Add Jakobsen and Javi Lopez back into this team and we look formidable.

The squad depth is impressive. We have key outs yet still retain a bench that could make the starting XI.Would love to get an injury update from the club. Add Jakobsen and Javi Lopez back into this team and we look formidable.
