This Saturday we are off to face the Roar with a host of selection headaches for Carl.

Lopez looked very tidy during his hit-out and hopefully is good to start.

I am not sure how Mo Toure pulled up after the Victory game however given he cramped at the 67 minute I would not be surprised if Carl starts him on the bench this week. Much may depend on whether Mauk is fit to start, giving us the option to push more midfielders forward.

Brisbane have had 10 days since their last match, with Golgol returning to the squad after his stint in Hungary (?).

Back home the AUFC Women face Victory this Friday. It would be nice indeed to do the double. They are playing at Marden after work (6:30 I think), so pop on down as it's a nice little venue and we are on bit of a roll.

We have a traditionally good record in Brisbane - let's see if this continues.

Brisbane have looked pretty tidy this season.

They have a a lot of emerging young talent as well. Wenzel-Halls has been in fine form.

I would hope we can lineup as follows:

Strain-Jako-Elsey-Smith
Halloran-Mauk-D'Arrigo-Kitto
Juric-Toure

B: Lopez, Caletti, Dukuly, Timoetheu, Konst

No easy games in the A-League is there...

The move to Dolphin appears to suit them. A much better suited venue than the cavernous Suncorp.

Given Mo can’t play the full 90, surely Yengi gets picked on the bench?

Yengi in for Caletti then.

I can't fit Niyongabire or Marrone in.

Gosh we have a bit of depth in that front third.

Just severely lacking creative AMs.

Would love to bring in someone like Dylan Ruiz-Diaz tbh. A goal scoring AM who can also play up top and is currently a free agent.

Given our home and away kits would clash with Brisbane, what are we gonna wear?

Hope the club has a third kit up it’s sleeve.

Mariners and 'Nix played Brisbane whilst wearing yellow kit; it'll be fine.

I'd prefer a deeper play-maker. We have sufficient sparkle up-front to make the net bulge.

Apparently he's trialing in Europe. Denmark and Ukraine strangely enough. He had a contract with CCM till the end of 2021 so I'm not sure if he was cut loose. If it was his choice to leave that seems like an odd move.

Yeah I heard he was trialling in Europe.

He surely must be a free agent because why would CCM let him trial overseas.

Anyway I think we would be a great pickup for us, especially as we don’t have a player in his mould.

The other thing is that having him in the squad would give us enough cover to loan out Yengi. Veart has mentioned he’s been showing real promise but he’s not going to realise it if he’s occasionally getting late cameo’s.

Surely not when they were wearing all yellow tho?

Not sure how that’s allowed.
