Well, after last night's schmozzle and a very short turn-around there are likely to be a few changes for this game.
The main question is whether Mauk will be fit and ready for a start. Hopefully Lopez is good to go though whether he starts or gets eased in remains to be seen.
Juric looked good against Perth though with the short-turn around he may get gassed early on. It will be interesting to see how Carl plays it as Toure looked lively when on. I'd prefer not to see him start ahead of an in-form Juric however it may well come down to legs.
Niyongabire for Dukuly? A little bit of like for like however again it may be a matter of the fresher legs. Depends a bit on how Carl feels Victory will line up.

What's with Marrone being dropped? He wasn't great the other night but he was far from alone in that.

Time for the boys to make up for the rubbish they served up in Perf. Strong response required, lads ....

Yeah I don't get this. He's such a great servant of the club and still deserving of at least a bench spot if not a starting role. Great utility player who is very reliable. What's with Marrone being dropped? He wasn't great the other night but he was far from alone in that.
I think he had a bad night but so did everyone else.
I guess all coaches will have their favourites and those they don't rate. I suspect Marrone and perhaps Kitto fall into that latter category.
Re: Preview: AUFC v Melbourne Victory: 23/01
Veart indicated definitely 1 change, maybe 2 to our starting 11 for Victory. Clear indication that one is Strain for Marrone.
Apparently Lopez will start from the bench.
I would very much like to see a few more changes after the performance on Wednesday.
Timotheu for Smith and Toure for Dukuly for me.

Agree some changes are due. Dukaly hasn't shone, especially defensively.
Wouldn't mind seeing Jakobsen get a game on the side - maybe for Timotheu - as he seemed to have trouble staying on his feet the other night. When you're making Elsey look solid you might need a rest!
Be good to see Lopez. Our DM slots aren't looking as good as they were. Caletti has the engine but got totally lost the other night. D'Arrigo needs to slot back in to that screening role and not try and be the attacking midfielder.
Lots of youth is always going to make for a manic season.
