Great for Dylan however it is going to weaken our squad somewhat.
Alas, very true. Dylan gives us great drive through the midfield and has some of the cleanest skills of anyone playing the game today in Australia; either in the men's or women's game. In fact, I'm struggling to recall a single mis-hit pass by her to anyone, in all the AUFC-W matches I've watched. Of how many players can we say that?

Well done to all those who turned out to watch the Lady Reds put on a display at Coopers. An attendance record for a regular season stand-alone game.

We have quite some talent in that squad (so much so that Europe has come knocking).

Great work by the girls - and a record crowd to boot. Let's hope that the other results fall their way so that they can actually play finals this season - God knows, they've earned it.

Oh, we were robbed against Perth! Had a clearly onside goal rubbed out for offside. No VAR to correct the mistake but aaargh!

It was ridiculous.
No offside there.

Clearly the lineswoman needs to be read the offside rule again. She called it offside because there was only the goalkeeper between Fiona Worts and the goal - ignoring that the goalkeeper had touched the ball and knocked it back into Fiona;s path, which meant that she could not be offside. Let's hope the FFA take note and send the lineswoman to re-education camp - which they almost certainly won't.

Can't let today's result pass unremarked - the women just thrashed the Meow EIGHT - 2 - and FIona Worts banged in a handful (5). (Almost makes up for being robbed last week by the lineswoman who doesn't know the rules .... )

An incredible result for the girls - and now Fiona Worts is second in the Golden Boot race, Chelsea Dawber is third and the leader, Hannah Wilkinson, is away next week with the NZ White Ferns. Very interesting Golden Boot race ....

Another solid win, 1-4 against the 'Nix.

Looking rather sharp this season.

Smashing Victory 3-0 at the moment. Looking good in all areas.
Top 3 position secure (barring a massive collapse in the next 20 minutes).

If Sydney lose to Perth tomorrow, we play Sydney for second spot at home in our final game.
(Assuming Melbourne City wins their final two matches they’ll finish as champions.)

Superb effort by the girls. You can tell that the other teams actually fear the Lady Reds now. The Worts/Dawber combination is the most lethal in the league. Chelsea Dawber has to be in the frame for a move overseas and a Matildas spot. As usual, I'm sure that the eastern states bias of the selectors will see her ignored though.

Similarly, FIona Worts must be in the frame for an England call up. Hemp, Scott and Nobbs are just not banging them in for their respective club sides the way that Fiona is. Fiona looks like streeting the field for the ALW Golden Boot; I reckon one or two more and the trophy is hers. Surely the England selectors must have her on their radar?
