Oh it feels an eternity since I've started a thread like this.

We are playing on the Gold Coast so I assume Suncorp is booked.

Troisi is out with some minor knee surgery and Boland & Maria no longer in the country, so we are likely to have a young bench. Hopefully Brook is in form and gets some decent time on the park.

Here's to seeing local football again

Very frustrating so hear Troisi is out. No doubt he would be most frustrated!

Simon Hill for the Guardian ...
To understand the latest existential crisis facing football in Australia, one must start at its genesis, which strangely coincided with the game’s highest point in recent memory. In January 2015, the Socceroos lifted the Asian Cup on home soil. The team became darlings of the nation and their coach, Ange Postecoglou, was elevated to something approaching sainthood. The Matildas were about to embark upon a Fifa Women’s World Cup campaign, at which they would reach the quarter-finals - to this day the best result of any senior national team.

I have to man the bbq.

I'll be running the stairs like Marrone. :D

Troisi out again. I'd really want to like him but he keeps getting in his own way.

After Regan's dump on Verbeek, I wonder how that's affected overseas players who may have wanted to return (yes, I know covid made it difficult, but why come back to a situation you didn't like)

And I can't bring myself to waste $25 a month on Kayo, not with jobkeeper having an unknown future and that being all I'm getting, so I'll be relying on live feeds and match commentaries on here.

But as commented, we look like having a young team, maybe Veart can take some of that talent and turn them into starlets.

Red wombat-

Not sure if Kayo does a 1 month free trial still but signing up to a new account only requires a unique phone number, if you have a family member or friend who hasn't had a kayo account (and has no future interest) then you can set up a new account with their number and get a 1 month free trial and get just about all the games. Just don't forget to cancel it. (Edit- their trial is 14 days now, you'd need 2 unique mobile numbers to get the whole season)

Alternatively if you know someone with a telstra mobile account, you can download the "my football" app and watch the games live on a phone/tablet screen. I have managed to mirror/cast it to the TV but that was a while ago and they may have stopped the ability to do that now- I think i started the stream first, then screen cast to the tv and reopen the stream. If you stream first it wouldn't let you play the stream.

Thanks for that. I've actually had that app installed since it first came out and, not being interested in watching on my mobile phone (because I had Fraudtell and the Kayo), never investigated the live stream. Will do for this match. I've got a chromecast too so with any sort of luck, I'll be able to cast it on the television. Thanks again.

I remember D’Arrigo being under an injury cloud so he might not play.

Also does anyone know anything about Taras Gomulka?
