After last week, the idea of staying home to watch is quite appealing....

Don't think it'll be long before these major public events are banned. Fascinating how the fringe and Festival are all going ahead with no issues. I was at the Fire Garden event in Botanic Gardens last night and thousands of people were packed in lines. But I'm sure we'd all washed our hands.... :)

Not yet. "mitigation protocols" are being put in place but at this stage the round is going ahead as planned.

The government are banning gatherings of greater than 500 people...but not until Monday.

That doesn't make any sense, sorry for the players but I think I'll do the right thing and stay home. They've got my money for the ticket anyway.

Yeah, that sounds sensible. But Scotty from Marketing has to see his footy team so..... Monday it is.

We've had everything pretty well close down here in Austria.

No outdoor events of more than 500 people.
No indoor events of more than 100 people.
But most events seem to have be cancelled or postponed regardless of size.

Concerts, theaters, museums, schools, Universities cancelled or closed.
I have heard from colleagues ( photographers) who have had all their work cancelled for the next 6 weeks.

Up to yesterday they had advised us to reduce all social contact to a quarter.
Today they are advising to cancel family gatherings and not to visit your grandparents and elderly parents unless it's to bring them food and or medicine.

Far out we are heading to total lock down and who knows what else.

So he's off to join the crowd at an NRL match after Dutton tested positive? Optics have never really been his strong point. Justin Trudeau has shown how to lead in these instances.

I'd be happy for the A-League to be played in empty stadia for the rest of the season. We could even play games at Marden to drop to cost if the Coopers' contract allowed for such.

The only plus for Sunday is that, what with last week's insipid performance and the virus fear, those who attend should find it easy to get seats at least three metres away from the other eight people going! :)

Going from last nights ROAR game the HAL seems self-policing where 500 seems to OK. I don't think
"Scotty from Marketing" is not that real a supporter, sure he's got a scarf and a baseball cap but I have a visual where he's in the crowd last year, but he had 2 suit-wearing minders and a woman - that shows more political vote-getting than actually supporting.

Blah blah and I have been talking about the corona issues for a month and a half in the asian football section.

I shall not rant here lol.

Football is a contact sport , the aleague will be cancelled, what will happen in the next couple of months is unprecedented. The absolute majority of us will look back on this year and hopefully learn some life lessons.
