This club just doesn't get it. Bruce has done well with recruitment this season but I'd trade Opseth for a good Cb all day everyday. Another season goes by where we are paper thin in defence and once again it is hurting us.

17 goals conceded in the last 6 away games.

Oh boy.
Lucky we have no relegation, eh?

How bizarre, on another night we'd have won, we just lacked some maturity.

Troisi, Boland or god willing Isa in midfield maybe would have grabbed the game, knocked the ball about and calmed the farm.

McGree hopelessly out of form and Opseth impotent up front.

WS Wanderers 5 - 2 Adelaide United
Game over.

My stream died for the last few minutes so I was spared any more of that, that ...
What was that?!?

I don't think it's as bad as that...

It's more like lucky for the back 5 (including Izzo) we have no defensive depth, so they won't lose their spots.

It was too late because we were too far behind at half time but I think Boland could have really helped alongside D'Arrigo, instead of having 2 attacking mids.

On to next weekend, we could have been 2nd and now we're 5th (for now). We continue the trend of playing poorly against lower half of the table teams. Hopefully we can keep playing well against Victorian teams...

Well that's as bad as I've ever seen us play

That was diabolical from a defensive point of view, no one showed any composure or ability to get basic defensive actions right, like being goal side.
Too attacking away from home too, needed Boland in the midfield I reckon.
Anyway, we are no chance to do much with such a crap defence, so 5-8 place is about right

Boland on for Opseth at half time would have done the trick.

Too hard to watch. Shows where we really are. Mid-table. Capable of greatness in bursts - and capable of crap in bursts. Not much to celebrate out of that one.

Capable of greatness in bursts - and capable of crap in bursts.
that goes for all but maybe 3 teams this season though.

It's only Perth's bad patch and Melb City's inconsistency that have kept us in touch with 2nd place. Realistically we are a 4th-6th place team this year, and a 4th-6th placed club in the overall scheme of the A-League. Occasionally we'll punch above our weight and finish higher or have a disaster of a season and finish outside the playoffs, but generally we're a bottom half of the finals club and team. So no panic from me, we're just in a bad patch of form and will come out of it.

Bah humbug no more Santa Claus!
Our Great Leader also gives the hint that Halloran is not certain to re-sign.
