Marrone and Kitto are back which is good. Kusini Yengi has been named in the squad and I’m really excited to see how he goes. He was ahead of Toure in the pecking order in pre season and was apparently going to start the first cup game as well but got injured.

Mauk’s out injured while Brook is at a young Socceroos training camp.

Izzo
Marrone Elsey Jakobsen Maria
D’Arrigo
Blackwood McGree
Halloran Opseth Mileusnic

Ochsenham, Smith, Kitto, Boland, M Toure, Yengi

I wouldn’t be against starting Boland and playing Blackwood up front but I don’t think it’ll happen.

I think with micky back our back line will be much better then last week tho we didn’t conced any top team would have put 2-3 on the board

We should be to good for WSW they didn’t look good that second half against the jets

The Wallys are hot and cold. They will be switched on for 20 minutes, when we will have to sit back and defend everything that they throw at us and then they will stop playing as a team and we can take them apart. There were times in their second half last week when it looked like none of the Wallys had actually met before the match. They are not a team; they are a bunch of individuals who happen to wear the same strip. As long as we don't concede in the first 20 minutes, we'll be fine.

I'm still annoyed that Mitch Duke did not receive any punishment for his kick out on Halloran earlier in the season, he even got awarded a free kick!

No VAR, no MRP, referees with no clue.

I think this is what we will see pending any other late setbacks.

Also agree that the midfield is better balanced with Boland, but coming back from nearly a year out we need to take our time reintroducing him to the squad.
