Opseth out with an Adductor injury. Troisi back.

How would you line up?

Izzo
Marrone-Elsey-Jakobsen-Maria
D'Arrigo
Troisi-Boland
Halloran-McGree-Mileusnic

I hate playing players out of position but Blackwood and Kitto just can't be in this team.
Izzo
Marrone Elsey Jakobsen Maria
D’Arrigo Boland
Halloran McGree Mileusnic
Blackwood

Bench: Youth GK, Strain, Konstandopoulos, Troisi, Kitto

Troisi is only just back so probably won’t start while Boland probably won’t play a full 90.

Re on Blackwood: I was listening to an episode of Purebred Reds TV and they had Kristin Konstandopoulos on as a special guest and he was saying how Blackwood trains really well and always is one of the best performing players at training.

Maybe he’s better than we think he is but for whatever reason, he can’t bring his training form to matches.

IMHO Blackwood has all the skills that would turn an average striker into a great one, unfortunately the core competency of striking seems to be absent, so those skills are useless.

He looks good in situations where he can drag an oafish central defender out of position. But not good enough to play in a wider or deeper position permanently or against specialist defenders in those positions.

Agree with this. Kids got some quality but for what ever reason struggles on match day

Kristian sarkies trained like he should have been picked up by real madrid.......and when i play in the back yard against my kids i find the top corner constantly but when i hit the pitch im lucky to nail a 10m pass. Game pressure is what makes all the difference. You either handle it or bottle it.....like me.

Yeah dribbling around those witches hats is easy but on game day they move and shout obscenities at me and I don't like it at all.
