On paper this should be a routine win; we're 4th with matches in hand and the Central Toast are absolute last. This could be a lot tougher than we expect though; Alan Stajcic is the best (read: least worst) gaffer that the Toast have had since Arnie left a decade or so ago, so this could be a banana skin game for us.
That said, I think that we should win, but it may be a 0 - 1 our way. Our wide players have always troubled them and if any of Mileusnic, Maria, Strain or even Marrone can find their crossing range, then the Toast's backline will have to keep out Toure, McGree and Opseth, which looks like a tough ask for them. On that point - do we know yet if McGree and Opseth have been cleared to play?
It should be an absorbing game, though, regardless of who starts for us. If WU lose against the Blunderers, then we can secure 3rd with a win in Gosford.
Off topic slightly - does anyone understand the FFA's scheduling this season? We have had 2 x byes already, WU and the filth have had none, we've played a couple of teams twice, but we have yet to play WU even once. I understand that television ratings drive the scheduling, plus of course the blatant pro-Sydney bias of the FFA, but how does the current FFA Cup championship team NOT meeting the league's new team until four months into the season improve ratings? The current season started in late October, but our first match against WU is away to them on Australia Day.
It's just bewildering.

So no Riley. We’ll miss his constant running again. And three keepers named, who’s carrying an injury?

I'm a little concerned about this match. Coming off a bye with the week its been weather-wise. Very good chance they'll come in under done.

As am I, less regarding the bye (where we failed to pick up any points...again), but more for the fact that the Mariners were very good against Sydney and unlucky not to come away with a point.I'm a little concerned about this match. Re: Preview Rd 11: AUFC vs Central Coast
Arguably our worst two games of the season were against Welly and Newcastle.
Against Welly, McGree was carrying a knee injury, had strapping on it, was clearly not at his best and was withdrawn at 75".
Against Newcastle he didn't play and we got away with daylight robbery.
Now he is out again for CCM.
I thinks we are over-reliant on him and he has been carrying us.
Based on the above I think it will be a tough game.

Izzo, Opseth, Blackwood, Pacifique all aren't fit while we all knew Boland and McGree wouldn't play.
Gertjan said 7 players aren't fit so I assume the 7th player is Kusini.

Re: Preview Rd 11: AUFC vs Central Coast
Some big outs but McGree is the biggest.
This will be our third game without him however so we should have adjusted to his absence. Don't mind a mid of Lia and D'Arrigo with Troisi at 10. Although we may see a mid of Maria, D'Arrigo, Troisi with Kitto back to LB.
We are gonna need to play better than the past two weeks to get a result tomorrow.
