Preview: AUFC v Newcastle Jets 8/12/19
It appears we have the resurgent Jets this coming Sunday. I'm not sure if Boogs will be playing as Lachlan Jackson has been doing well at the back; hence our chances of playing against 10 men has diminished somewhat. Thurgate is an interesting player and Merrik must be tempted to give him a start.
Whilst we were flat on the weekend we came away injury free and Verbeek should have a full squad to choose from. I dare say we'll see Opseth start and a bit more use of our width if Jets use similar tactics to the 'Nox.
Should be a good game.

Gertjan Verbeek has named his extended squad for Adelaide United’s Round 9 match against Newcastle Jets at Coopers Stadium on Sunday.
The Reds will be looking for a response after last weekend’s insipid display against Wellington Phoenix which resulted in a 2-1 loss, ending a four-game winning streak.
Lachlan Brook has been promoted, while Riley McGree is out with a grade one knee ligament injury.
Adelaide United squad: 2.Michael MARRONE, 4.Ryan STRAIN, 5.Michaël MARIA, 6.Vince LIA, 7.Ryan KITTO, 10.James TROISI, 11.Kristian OPSETH, 14.George BLACKWOOD, 16.Nathan KONSTANDOPOULOS, 17.Nikola MILEUSNIĆ, 18.Lachlan BROOK, 20.Paul IZZO (gk), 22.Michael JAKOBSEN (c), 23.Jordan ELSEY, 26.Ben HALLORAN, 27.Louis D’ARRIGO, 30.Isaac RICHARDS (gk), 35.Al Hassan TOURE

Given Halloran and Toure were hooked at HT last week, I reckon they'll be dropped with Opseth and Georgie coming in.
I can see Konstand coming in for McGree but wouldn't be overly surprised to see Maria move into midfield and Kitto play LB.

Best to take no chances with McGRee.
Hopefully Brook gets a chance to make it onto the pitch. He's a good player but opportunities to break into the match-day squad are far and few between,

Blackwood cant start, if i have to watch him run the ball over the line again or give away silly fouls i will go insane.

Hopefully he gets some minutes off of the bench.

If you are just going to wave The Force about willy nilly can you bring down the price of Cooper's Pale Ale (or increase the cup sizes)?
