Marrone has pinched a lot of balls this game.

Excellent result!

Yooo, Hooo!

So much potential attacking creativity out there.

Positive for me is I feel like we can play so much better than that second half, where the whole game turned in to a bit of a mess.

Mind you we should have absolutely wiped the floor with them by halftime.

Started on fire, scored.

Let them back in after we slack off and miss chances.

Put the foot to the floor almost immediately.

The plaudits go to McGree but **** Opseth was good, Maria a weapon and D'Arrigo just superb.

Fanastic game from D'Arrigo; loved the way he directed senior players to cover various Victory players in throw-ins. Jakobsen's positioning was on the money all game.

Perhaps my favourite part of the game was regularly hearing Verbeek shouting at the players to move the ball forward :)

If there.was any doubt we had the right bloke in charge, there isn't anymore.

Will Kurz survive until Kruse and Nabbott get fit ?

Kurz would have started Lia.

How can you not love a night at Hindmarsh like that. Seriously entertaining and creative football. We've never played this well before. Best moment: Victory score, their fans go crazy and throw their beer all over each other, sixty seconds later they are totally silent. D'Arrigo simply imperious. McGree so powerful. Maria a wonderful find. We played that well with Halloran off and Mile having an off night.
Special mention for Opseth. He's the goods.
You just have to love Verbeek.

Kurz played Corey Brown at LW last week and it failed, then did it again this week. I said it before the big blue last weekend, Kurz is 1 big defeat away from being shown the door. Imagine if they didn't have Toivenen! He's keeping Kurz in a job.

What a performance. The game should have been over by half time.

So. Many. Chances. Created.

How good that we have an 18yo who has stepped in and replaced our legendary captain Isa, as if nothing has changed.

We are so dynamic - tonight we miss an in form Halloran but Blackwood slots in and looks dangerous. Nikola has an off night but McGree steps up with a brace. Maria doesn't track back hard enough and we concede but from the subsequent kickoff he drives forward and makes amends. Toure is on the bench because of Olyroos duty but Opseth starts and helps create our first goal.

What a team, what a coach, what a club!

Gotta be happy with the ladder, the 2 teams above us beat us at the start of the season so can't complain about that.Image
