Hard to predict how this one will unfold :?

Seriously though I am concerned that the 15 day gap from the Newcastle game to our match v Brisbane will destroy our momentum. At least Brisbane under Fowler look pretty rubbish so far.

It would be nice if the club really pumped up this next match to get a big crowd back in to Hindmarsh on the 10th ... with the Matildas playing in Adelaide 2 days later we've got a mini festival of football coming up.

Ive noticed some of the cbd bus stops have aufc advertising the 5 game flexi membership. They have Toure doing his archer celebration.

Probably not the best thing to keep the kids feet on the ground lol but applaud the club updating its marketing

Let’s hope they last longer than the previous ads in the city.

I think the break is much needed.
They'll be able to celebrate the cup win, welcome a few players back from injury, have a couple days off and return fully focused on Brisbane.

:D

It's not often I speak ill long-serving squad members, however the lack of form from our previously prolific striker, Owen Goll, is welcome.

We have to have a bye sometime and this is not a bad time for it.

I'm assuming there will be 3 byes in total?

Only way 11 goes into 26 I think.

I can handle the bye, playing some teams more times than others sours winning the premiership trophy imo

Agreed. Still remember your post from preseason saying first place better win by 9+ to claim it!

To me the premiership has always been a bit tainted when it was close because of the fact some teams had more home games than others. It's worse now of course, at least we won't have byes next season but we'll still have the unbalanced draw.

I need a weekend to sober up now and again. Do a bit of weeding. Rest the knees.
