We are the Cup specialists. Riley McGree is amazing.
Its amazing really 6 years of this cup. AU have lost 3 games. With one of those being a final where they got screwed.

What a win, definitely didn't expect that scoreline. City weren't on tonight and we took full advantage. Great performance by everyone.

Amazing! That gives Verbeek his first trophy. 4th consecutive manager the club has had to win a trophy.

When you have local players they can get up for the big games like this, unlike the mercenaries.

Talent will get you so far but a bit of heart can get you further.

Bring on next season! No Australian club has won 4 cups. AU go level with Adelaide City, APIA Leichhardt and Maccabi Hakoah.

If he stays grounded and surrounds himself with the right people, Toure could be absolutely anything

This.

A great portion of that side were locals, it just means more.

I tell you what, all of a sudden goals are coming from everywhere and we've got Blackwood and Troisi still to find a spot.

Agree with both of you.

We got Kusini Yengi still to come back from injury as well.

Yeah AU is never going to be a club that will able to chase talent to build a championship side. It has to come from within as they build these kids up and get the most out of them before they move on to greener pastures. I've said it plenty of times but AU could certainly become the Ajax of Asia if a long term strategy was put in place and the club backed a coach who backed the kids.

He was every bit as good as Toure from the little I've seen

We also want to be the place these kids stay until they are absolutely ready to make a move.

Bruce went too early, hopefully he gives sage advice to young Alhassan
