Gonna be stretched for a squad again, hopefully Halloran gets up.
Need to start better and not be 2 goals down early, we've finished games well but we're almost out of it by half time.
We will win, Toure to be the hero.

Add Halloran and Strain to the squad and we look a lot more solid. Doesn't look like anyone else will be back in time.
It would be nice to get an injury update from the club with some expected recovery times.
My lineup would be-
Izzo
Strain-Marrone-Jakobsen-Maria
D'Arrigo
McGree-Konstandopolous
Halloran-Toure-Mileusnic
Richards, Lia, Kitto, Opseth, Brook

Re: FFA CUP FINAL! Adelaide United v Melbourne City 2019/2020
I’m quietly confident going into tomorrow and Strain and Halloran will be huge ins.
My lineup:
Izzo
Strain Marrone Jakobsen Maria
D’Arrigo Lia
Halloran McGree Mileusnic
Toure
Richards, Kitto, Konstandopoulos, Brook, Opseth
If Abetew is fit, then I’d stick him on the bench and drop one of Konstandopoulos or Brook.
I know some might not like but Lia has to start imo. I think his experience and leadership could really come in handy.

I'm not 100% confident for tomorrow, but I know the team won't take it as lightly as our first two league matches.
Our defence will decide the result. Ideally, Boland would start in the midfield along with McGree and Blackwood.

The pressure is on city, they have the bling and they were outplayed by mostly kids in the second half.

Disagree in part about the defence tbh.I'm not 100% confident for tomorrow, but I know the team won't take it as lightly as our first two league matches.

An open defence will probably be a feature of our new style. I would say its the front thirds job to take its chances and be more potent than our defence is weak.
At the end of the day though we are saying more or less the same thing

Could go either way but we have the home advantage this game.
Marrone at CB and Strain at RB worked fine for us in the latter half of last season.
Halloran would be a big in but a bout of gastro definitely knocks you about. I would start him on the bench if he is not 100% fit.

Re: FFA CUP FINAL! Adelaide United v Melbourne City 2019/2020
Just listened to Verbeek and Jako’s presser and Verbeek said the only change will be Strain in for Atabew. He is also unsure whether Toure or Halloran will start.
Another interesting thing Verbeek said was that Kusini Yengi was training with the first team before he got injured. This injury opened the door for Al Hassan and the rest is history.
If Yengi is even better than Toure which seems to be the case, then I can’t wait to see him in action! Does anyone know when he will be fit again?
