It's actually the ViSA players that need to lift their game at this point.

D'Arrigo good, McGree and Milesusnic both very good though went missing at times and had good chances to score, Marrone battled hard out of position and Kitto was ok.

Brook and Toure did well off the bench.

Maria out of position and Opseth are really the guys that can get us the points if they pull their fingers out.

Still, we move on to the cup final at home.

Just got a chance to watch, I'm up in Mooloolabah at the moment.

Disappointing first half but fully expected with our team sheet vs theirs. I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to pull one back and looked like equalising in the 2nd, good signs from our youngsters.

We gave away the ball way too easily for a lot of the game though, even some basic passes were way off the mark.

Toure and D'Arrigo are both playing very well, don't look out of place at all.

The positive is we have played probably the 2 highest paid and possibly best teams on paper minus boland elsey opseth maria troisi for parts if not all of those matches.

It does seem to be an exciting time despite the losses and I think fans are realising this. 2 straight losses under kurz would have been scandalous for the seasons start.

D'Arrigo is looking handy at DM, really growing into the role.

Yep, tough to lose but at least we now have a team worth following again. The kids are alright! The philosophy is spot on. The games are exciting. Now, if we just had that spare defender.....

I'm really not upset at all by the weekend's match. We matched or bettered the Abu Dhabi PetroDollars XI for most of the second half and probably should have come away with a 2 - 2 draw. But for a last ditch lunge in their goalmouth, we would have had it too.

Abetew will be better for the match time that he had and while he will be the first to admit that he didn't set the football world on fire, he didn't cause any howlers and looked engaged and willing, which is as much as anyone can ask at his stage. He was, remember, the third choice for his position; it's hard to criticise anyone who is thrown on in similar circumstances.

D'Arrigo looked very comfortable and was not intimidated at all by the bigger, more experienced bodies around him. What a player he will be; and soon, too.

Toure showed glimpses and but for that last desperate lunge noted above, would have had an assist.

McGree is all class and a Socceroos jersey must be very close for him.

We missed Elsey and Halloran, of course, but I suspect that both will be back for Wednesday night and we will be much more solid because of it.

I'm keen to see Boland back in as our DM, but I think that he and D'Arrigo can work well together - and the apprentice can learn off the master. Maybe one of them as a traditional #8 AM, at the leading point of the diamond ....?

Can't wait for Wednesday evening ....

Strain and Halloran to return to the team for Wednesday and that's it. Should be enough to win if we played like we did the 2nd half on Sunday.

I'd love to see what a midfield of McGree-D'Arrigo-Boland would give us. Solid in defense, very mobile, exciting in attack.

We started poorly as expected given the side we put out and were deserved 2-0 down. We couldn’t keep the ball and struggled defensively.

After half time we looked a completely different side. We tightened up, kept the ball much better and created enough chances to at least snatch a draw.

I thought D’Arrigo was outstanding while Mileusnic has stepped up after Goodwin’s departure.

There were definitely some positives to take out of the game for sure and with Stain and Halloran back, I think we can do them at home tomorrow. However, we need to stop giving our opponents a 2 goal head start and I think we need to get Opseth into the game more. He can’t be expected to do his thing without any service.
