What a relief! I welcome United's announcement today that Flinders University will be the front of shirt sponsor (Premier Partner). This type of sponsorship opens up a range of possibilities for the club ranging from the use of the university's sports science program, football fields and an opportunity to involve themselves more with the community on the southern side of Adelaide. They have done a good job in the northern suburbs and this is a natural extension of their community program as well as the money coming in to the club.. It leaves Newcastle as the only club without a front of shirt sponsor.Well done United. Everything is coming together nicely.

This is a fantastic alignment - Adelaide's representatives of the world game, partnering with a major university in a state where education is one of the biggest 'industries' (and I say this as an employee of a rival uni). Top stuff, and the shirt looks good to boot.
