Mileusnic may not be in the gang. They may have targeted him as his brother seems to be in the gang.

If he is then I wouldn't be against the club sacking him.

I think the news made it pretty clear his brother may have been the target. Apparently his brother was shot in a previous incident.

Well that's a relief.

I actually had no idea this happened until it was posted on here.

Toure is a true striker.
Should have/could have had a couple of earlier penalties.
Happy to win and keep getting good hitouts.
As for mileusnic and the gang stuff.......he needs to perform on the field to justify a club tolerating that kind of crap. We dont need NRL/AFL type scandals.

Hard to judge on preseason games against NPL level teams but we had a few guys play an average game tonight. In no particular order, Marrone, Elsey, Lia, Boland, Blackwood and Mileusnic all seemed a bit behind the 8 ball at times. Like Marrone would do 2 things right then 1 thing wrong, Mileusnic was invisible in attack but tracked back well a couple of times. Lots of loose turnovers too, you can tell we need a bit more quality in the middle of the pitch.

On the positive, Toure with a good brace, we go through to the next round and by then hopefully we'll be a more complete team, in both tactics and personnel.

I think we are forgetting the lessons learnt during the amor/gombau era in regard to adapting to a progressive style.

Typically defensive problems with the back 4 were really a result of tactical errors in the midfield and once the midfield tightens up the back 4 improve dramatically.

Implementing a new progressive style during a knockout game even against NPL opponents takes guts to total implement it without resorting to playing safe.

We are a work in progress, im not concerned at all.

As for comments on mileusenic, the guy is a uni graduate and struggled from the npl to the aleague as a senoir player, thats all we need to know! As I mentioned in the other thread we all have that one friend or family member who has taken a less honest path in life or made some mistakes. Im sure we would hate to be judged for that.

If tarek elrich was a fan fav surely we can accept mileusenic
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

First I've heard of Mileusnic's brother & the bikie stuff but (like Elrich's bro and McGowan's dad) you can't judge him by whatever his bro is involved in. Everything I have ever seen from Nikola suggests he's humble, down to earth and a team man.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

That he does. I hope his brothers mates don’t get near the players. I said it in another thread that the AFL has massive issues with bikies infiltrating clubs

Verbeek talks.

He's really surprised at Toure's development and quality.
No one at the club mentioned him at the beginning ...
The young man ticks all the right boxes according to the boss.

Nice. Taking a chance on youth wasn't exactly the hall-mark of the previous coaching team.

It will be interesting to see if Brook is also given some chances to perform after his AFF u-18 exploits.

Makes you also wonder who else is out there.......

You'd think Brook and co will be given plenty of time during the season.

Under the current coaching regime, yes.
