Verbeek’s a bit tetchy in these interviews isn’t he?

Happy to answer the football questions - what do you know about Olympic? what did you learn about your team in the friendly? - for those he's open, expansive.
Doesn't like the political questions - what about another visa player? (knowing full well he's going to be stuck with a Chinese player from a small pool of options) why are you training the way you do? (don't you know what you're doing) - for those he's a bit touchy

Fine by me. Let's see how he goes once the season starts.

Oh yeah agree completely. I didn’t mean it to sound like I disapprove

Doesn’t seem like he will put up with a lot of BS (of which certain members of the local media distribute in ample supply). Should be fun going forward

22 players listed including D'Arrigo and Brook who played in the u18 Socceroos win yesterday. Highly doubt they'll either be in Brisbane or feature. I wonder if this is just our entire FFA squad list.

In any case, good to see everyone is fit and hopefully that includes Blackwood, which I have my doubts about - a hammy is 6-8 weeks which is too soon for him to be back.

I'm gonna miss like the first half so I'm hoping the MyFootball app will let me watch on delay.
Pumped to see how Toure goes and hope some of the other youngsters get decent minutes.

Also thought Maria was very decent in the Melbourne Knights game so keen to see more from him!

Don't like having Lia in the side, but it does mean we are a tad more worried about our defending.

Given how attacking Verbeek likes to be, a DM who can protect the back 4 is vital. Vinni is the only player who is available that can play that role. Boland simply isn't a DM.

Probably tells you who we are chasing, who was the City player we tried to loan ??

Griffiths but it would have to have been a swap deal as he is over 23.
