We can all thank wsw for this years debacle of a fixture. They kicked and screamed at another team in Sydney joining the same year they start at their new stadium.
Meanwhile they happily took 2 extra foreign spots and extra cash in their salary cap in their first year where they won the premiership.

I just cant believe this would even be an option on the table, unless this seasons premiers win the league by 9 points or more their trophy will sadly be tainted.

Is there any other top flight league in the world who does this?

Remarkable lack of confidence in their fanbase.
Cause their fanbase has dived dramatically, they want to get it back and are scared of anything subverting the one chance to turn it around quickly.

Bankwest Stadium sounds like a treat though, I'll be there on our away in Feb.

We all know that tje big sydney and melbourne clubs will rule over the league now with independance from the FFA. we will be treated like interstate AFL teams from here on in. Mvfc, city, wsw, sfc and the new clubs will do as they please. The rest of us are here to help round out the comp. Which is why i enjoy seeing them bomb out of the FFA cup, realistically it's our only chance of silverware from here on in.

Sydney FC will be without their 2 first choice keepers for the first 2 rounds of the HAL.

Good for us -we play Sydney at home round 1.

Bad for the league -no senior or young socceroos in the opening rounds.

Western at Geelong....that's a pity; Ballarat would have made a fun road trip.

Yeah it would have.
I have zero interest in going to Kardinia Park to watch football.
