We're playing City at Hindmarsh today.
Interesting. With City's season on the line this weekend I am a little surprised they'd still be up for a mid-week match. I'm expecting a lot of their reserves to be given a run whilst their better players are rested for the Raiders game.

EDIT: Hang-on.........Melbourne City....aaaah, I now get it. The off-season is too long.

We lost 1-0.

Jmac scored a 10th minute header.

Not sure where to put this but Lachlan Brook scored the winner for the u18 Socceroos today. We beat Malaysia 1-0 to be crowned champions. D'Arrigo also started with Jai King on the bench.

Hopefully we see more of these boys in Red this season.

That's good as the strongest side possible would have been put out for the final and it featured all of our boys. Great stuff, particularly after the 3-0 loss we suffered to Malaysia in the group stage.

No, but I saw that quite a bit of youth played.

Toure did not.

Updated member numbers. I think we'll have some members holding off until the last minute, a strong FFA cup run is so important for the owners I think, to prove they made the right call on Kurz.

Only 1200 for the new boys, that's a worry.

According to a Twitter user at the game , our starting XI is Izzo, Marrone, Elsey, Jako, Kitto, Boland, Konsta, McGree, Halloran, Mile, Opseth.

McGree was sent off after 35 mins and Brook was subbed on.

Apparently the red was for ref abuse.

Come on. Hurry up and let's get started. This pre-season is lasting forever.
Can't the AFL and NRL just get their finals over with so we can get back to the real football? Just pick a winner. Who cares.
