Damn.

Proud but I feel like we had that in the penalty shootout. 3-1 up we should have won.

Wow. Now words. Penalties are always a roll the dice moment. Have two teams ever missed three penalties in a row though? (Could be one for the records).

So proud of the boys. Don't know where they pulled that from, Kurtz is a legend, gone before his time.

Penalties are a lottery. They missed plenty too.

No one at fault.

Neither team deserves to lose that game.

Makes me wonder why we are getting rid of Kurz. What a performance.

Obviously the guy who couldn't walk should be ahead of 2 of the 3 goal scorers in the order.
I was surprised that Mileusnic and Konsta went ahead of kitto and Marrone too. Both took average pens, just a bit too obvious imo.
Given the quality of ball they were both putting into the box in the second half of extra time, I would be shocked if Kitto or Marrone couldn't have converted one of their spot kicks.

Konsta taking a pen over Kitto wasn't really smart I don't think considering Konsta could barely walk.

I can't remember being prouder of an Adelaide United team and I've been a member since the first year of the A League. Five day turnaround after a game that went to extra time, up against the premiers who dominated the league, and they had two weeks off???Unbelievable effort by the boys. They just refused to give up and that has to have a lot to do with the coach.

If there is one thing we've learnt this season it's never count out a Kurz led team. Unfortunately that won't be our team anymore.

Not even upset. That was the most epic efforts I’ve ever seen from the boys. They never gave up and achieved more than anyone expected this year. Really wish we were keeping Kurtz can see he’s built this belief.

Play five days earlier. Travel thousands of kilometres. Play the best team all year at their home ground after they have had a two week break. Lose two of your back four to injury. Have one of your midfielders unable to run. Have your goalkeeper injured. Still finish it at 3-3 after 120 mins. Lose on penalties.

Now that's a team worth supporting. Kurz has done a great job in the last eight weeks or so. No point wondering why the players who took the penalties took them. It's luck of the draw and it's all over now.

Brilliant effort. All heart. Genuine skill. Incredible courage. Suddenly this group of players have a(nother) spot booked on the ladder of Reds legends.

Best of luck to Perth now. They deserve something and they'd bloody better win after that. The biggest downer of the season would be for Victory or Sydney to win again.

And I didn't even mention the bloody referee.........oh, bugger.....!!

I'm going to be bitter about the way the shootout transpired for a while. It'd be easier to deal with if it wasn't obvious that at 3-3 the team was ordered to sit back and hang on for penalties.

That's it.
All over, red rover.

Great collective effort.
Great game of football.

Penalties, what can you do?
I expected Isaias and Baba to score but sadly they didn't.

How the club now develops will be interesting to say the least.
Off into the great unknown once again.

If we had to go out, that's the way to do it.

Fantastic work from the boys, and Baba scored again!

At the very least we've set Perth up for a good Grandfinal crowd as their fans and media will be pumped.
