Preview: Perth Glory v AUFC 10/5/19
It is a short turn-around from a long match and there are likely to be a few players taking some niggles into this game.
Baba is back! Hopefully we can see him start and finally get a full game out of him as he may give us the extra angle up front we've so badly needed. It may also give us the option to play Halloran wide, if he remembers how as it has been a while.
it is hard to say who should be in the starting line-up and I dare say much will hinge upon how players recover as opposed to tactical considerations. I can't see the back four changing, with Elsey having to spend some more time on the pine.

We are a team that is especially well set up for sudden death "cup matches".
I believe we will travel to Perth and get the result that will propel us into the final.
I expect to meet MV in the Grand final.
Dreamer you say?
Fire up Farken!!!

Im going to make a cross code comparison here but there is a touch of the crows in 97 about this team.

Fair call; Marco Kurz has had the same transformative effect on AUFC as Malcolm 'The Messiah' Blight had on the Crows.Im going to make a cross code comparison here but there is a touch of the crows in 97 about this team.

This would be one of the finest wins in club history.
The task we face is absolutely enormous. Runaway league winner at home, refreshed and fit.
These are the types of games that create memories. Much like that other red mob this morning.

We held Perth to 0-0 when we were in worse form than now. They'll be fresher, yes. But we'll have confidence and momentum.

I think 5 days is plenty of time to recover if it's only from fatigue/cramp, minor injuries are a different issue.
Literally everything is against us, there is absolutely nothing to lose. Would be an epic result if we pull it off.
I'd expect an unchanged lineup unless there are injuries. Have to back the starting 11 that's been getting it done recently.

Unchanged squad, can't see any changes to the 11 unless they wanna pick Elsey.

Start the Greek.
Move Halloran out to the flank and leave Mileusnic on the bench for later in the match.
I thought Nikola was slightly off his best last week.

I think Blackwood was a bit lost last game but we have no other decent option at the moment. Mileusnic was off too.
If Baba is fit to play 65 mins I'd start him ahead of Mileusnic and put Halloran at RW.
I feel like the pressure is definitely not on us in this game, we have nothing to lose and no one (apart from us haha) is expecting us to win.

I like the idea of having an explosive player Like Nikola on the bench for impact

The game will be won out wide and in the middle. I wouldn't change much. We'll need to keep Mileusnic and Goodwin as starters.
Franjic and Davidson like to push up as part of a quick transition. So we'll need to wear them out by hitting them on the break when they push up. Win the ball, leave Franjic and Davidson high and dry, make a quick transition and attack. Do it correctly and we will win the game.
