Brisbane Roar are trying to secure Kurz as head coach for next season, Hayden Foxe and Ross Aloisi are the others on their list... yikes.

I didn’t mind Kurz. Boring but solid football with us. They could do worse. Depends what their aspirations are. Couldn’t see him leading a team to a championship though.

Nearly led us to the GF. Won an FFA Cup?

Good, pragmatic appointment. Will make them competitive again.

I loved his passion. We had a never say die team under his tenure. Great motivator.

I can see why some liked him but he was never my cup of tea. I've sat through it all, including our wooden spoon seasons and the only times I've ever wanted to leave at before the final whistle were a few of the matches in the Kurz era. Just unimaginative and boring football that didn't change even when we were chasing a game.

I liked Kurz `cos he got AU a tiny bit of exposure in the German speaking football world when he signed, when he won the Cup, and when he left.

His football was pragmatic to put it nicely but he was 100% invested in the players and that showed.
He seemed a nice bloke.

I dont think I ever really liked him because it was the end of our successful Spanish experiment. I felt like we pivoted rather harshly towards him rather than finding a coach to fit our style. I liked the mentality and extra training sessions but I didn't like all the injuries.

Once he went to Victory he was dead to me but really if Johan Absolonson had stayed fit it could have been a whole different story.
