2019 SANPL

The Young Reds are doing well with eleven points after six games. It is good to see the likes of Armiento and Pacifique are getting some game time again, though it will be interesting to see who is promoted into the team when AP departs for Western United.

West Adelaide are in a spot of bother though, with one point on the board (still above South Adelaide who have yet to register a point and technically above Adelaide City who are also on zero but started with a six point deducation).

That will certainly take some pressure off the coach. South Adelaide also registered their first point against Croydon.

The Young Reds face MetroStars this afternoon at the Valo Football Centre.

Nice win by the Young Reds, 3-2. It sounded like it was the Armiento-Pacifique show.

We are second on the ladder after seven rounds, one point behind ABE. Mind you there is only a three point difference between us and Olympic in 8th, so still early days and still tight.

After a run of 4 defeats the slide has been arrested with a welcoming 1-1 draw away to Olympic. Not much respite though, as next week we face MetroStarts who are currently sitting pretty at 3rd on the table (we've slipped to 8th).

A nice win 0-3 against West Adelaide which gives us some breathing room on the table. We're now 7 points ahead of West Adelaide & Adelaide City in 10th & 11th respectively and 12 points ahead of South Adelaide who prop up the table.

Next week is Para HIlls, who sit 2 points behind us on the table.

Big game this weekend, Croydon away. We are both on 22 points but Croydon are above us on goal difference. Three points will be handy as the following week is Campbelltown away which is a tough proposition indeed.

Nice 2-0 win by the boys over Olympic. We are chasing a finals spot and can't be relegated so we can play with reckless abandon against ABE next week. Should be a fun game to watch.

West Adelaide are staring into the abyss, they need Adelaide City to seriously slip up and for them to pull a couple of big wins out of the hat, SL2 for next year I fear.

Huge final round for the SA NPL. The last relegation place is up for grabs and it is either West Adelaide or Adelaide City going down. At the moment West Adelaide hold the position, yet if they defeat Metro Stars and Adelaide City lose to the Comets, a quite possible scenario, then it is City for the drop.

Our boys are still a chance for the finals if they beat Souths (which they should) and ABE lose away to Raiders (who are having a great season).

We finished our season with a draw against South Adelaide which leaves us 8th and out of the finals.

Adelaide City went down to Raiders which must have had some hearts pumping however West Adelaide failed to take advantage, going down 0-4 to Metrostars and hence finding themselves in SL1 for 2020.

So is it automatic promotion for modbury jets? Will be good having a northern derby back in the npl.
