Word on the street is that Isa will be granted Australian citizenship tomorrow.

Wonderful for him and his family. I hope that when he hangs up the boots he feels the need to stay in this country and play a part in developing more players like him.

IMO the Socceroos could do far far worse than put someone with his heart, work rate, passion and skill in the middle of the park.

Muchas Gracias Isa!!!

Couldnt agree more with everything you've said. Stayed loyal to us when he could quite easily have gone.

Been criminally underrated as a player and a ripping fella whenever I've met him. He once said to me "I'll never be an Aussie, I speak way better English than all you guys". Absolutely loved taking the micky

Congratulations!

Great news for him and his family.

I believe he will stay and one day he will manage Adelaide United.
And I would love to see him wearing the green and gold.

Yep fantastic player, person and great leader for the club. Very happy that it finally came through for him.

Is it too early to start commissioning a bronze statue?

If he somehow leads us to a championship this year we may as well rename the stadium.

So happy for him and his family - I love these stories of foreign players coming here just to play, but end up staying and becoming citizens. A bigger deal needs to be made of this, as in some ways, it's the best possible kind of marketing for the A-League.

For Isa specifically, he is an outstanding human being and contributor to our club. It should come as little surprise that our more recent trophy-winning era came after his arrival.

I don’t think AUFC players are allowed to be selected for the NT. I’ve seen little evidence.

I'm always torn on this. I'd love to see more Reds line up for the Socceroos. But I'm also glad AU doesn't lose them. I'd rather hold on to Goody than see him play zero minutes in the Asian Cup.
