Crowd was 8,900.

So many shots.. but not many looked like they would go in unfortunately.
I also was a little unsure why with 4 wingers on the park, with one as striker and one in midfield (and thats if you don't count Strain who started life as one), why we did so many head high crosses. I know Goodwin scored a header, but hes not exactly known for it :)
This is what drives me up the wall the most. I hear a lot about how pragmatic Kurz is but this insistence on a game plan where all we do is pump crosses into the box when we
1) don’t have a striker who is even remotely an aerial threat and
2) barely have a player in the team who could hit the side of a barn with a cross
seems insane to me. It’s not adapting to the strengths of the players we have available, it’s not effective and it’s gotta be super predictable and easy to defend against for the opposition. I don’t know what I’m missing
If I was able to like this post I'd like it and unlike it so I could like it again. We need to find some unpredictability from somewhere. It's not a German trait I know, but we aren't good enough to bash through teams.

Watching the Wanderers game, they have all their best players on the park and they're even worse than us.

The next four games we have to play sfc mvfc and perth and the easiest of the tasks is wsw away which i dont think we can win. Looks like we will be down and out by round 16.

Not giving up, i pay up my membership, foxtel etc to keep watching. The day i give those up is when i have given up. I spend a lot of energy, money, time on this team. But feel free to judge away from a comment based on evidence of how we play and how those teams are travelling. I can not see us getting more than maybe 4 points. By that stage we will probably be looking at a 12-15 point gap from the top three. Although maybe that is a good thing as our home form is so bad an away finals run might help?
But don't tell me i have given up, you have no idea how much "energy" i have put into this club. Again reinforcing the "no critical thinking, all positive views only" of some posters here.

Yeah thats not a good stat.

The season could well be getting away from us after those 4 games.

With 2 socceroos wingers goals should not be this hard to come by. Kurz needs a fit target man to prove himself be it blackwood or a new player but it needs to be fast.

Its hard to judge kurz without a senoir striker , im wondering what the mood is behind closed doors because this group has some quality hamstrung by circumstance.

I'd say constant injury would weigh any squad down.

In the last month or so we seem to be lacking urgency and the heads drop quicker than they have done.

Mandi has been given a three match ban for deliberately kicking at an opponent on the ground. Three matches for what the match review panel describes (rightly) as an assault on a player!!! Do that on the street, with 8000 witnesses, and you'd get six months prison. Three matches just makes the adjudication of the rules in this league even more farcical.

I agree. He should have got an extra game for the way he carried on afterwards as well. The stadium management should send him the clean up bill for ripping all his tape off on the pitch too.

Yeah, all the outrage for elsey touching a player that he was unaware was unconscious. Meanwhile a clear kick to the ribs barely raises an eyebrow.

Imo 6 weeks is the starting point.
