Looks like Mauk bit someone. Hopefully he gets as many weeks as Regan does.

People are so quick to pass judgement on Reegan which is fine he has clearly screwed up and he would admit that but we know nothing about the lead up and what was said.
So anyone making moral judgement on his character should probably stop and consider we know very little about the incident.
If this goes to the tribunal we may find out more but I doubt regan would make those things public to defend himself.
Players with a long history of fair play and good reputation tend not to lash out over nothing, particularly when the other involved is a well known grub.

A few words of praise for the manager if I may...
Another game, another formation, another opposing coach outwitted.
After the 4-1-2-3 counteracted Mark Rudan's tactics in NZ last week, the switch to a good old fashioned 4-4-2 did the job against John Aloisi last night. Ilso and Hallaron in a two pronged forward line and Goodwin and Kitto causing havoc on the wings. Lots of direct, entertaining football and three points. Can anyone remember the last time we played with 2 strikers ? Rech and Qu ? Pity there weren't more of us there to see it.
Three cheers for Marco !... hip hip....

That pic was taken about half a second before the eye gouge so I don't think Regan would have reacted to the alleged bite, I do agree that Mauk must have said something to rile him up as Regan isn't a dirty player and wouldn't do something like that normally.Yep this is my point.https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq0u-MPHLzO/

The "bite" was after Regan shoved his hand in his face and it was another Brisbane player's hand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7A1opt8CbYhttps://www.instagram.com/p/Bq0u-MPHLzO/

Mauk is a starter when fit. That was his first game back from injury. When Stef was playing for us and getting stuck in to MC we didnt mind. The biggest concern for him is:
1. He missed two sitters to equalise the game
2. He's coming off the bench. In this AU lineup, under Kurz, he'd be pushing a Socceroos spot or move to Bundesliga2.

What it shows is Mauk is a complete nut who just chose to bite someone, probably thinking it was a Red.

Greenwood of the advertiser has just published that the ffa will not review regan’s actions as it was a second caution?! Got away with that one by poor reffing. Clear straight red and now gets away with it.

Did he really eye gouge though? An eye gouge generally needs fingers to contact the eye lol
I agree straight red though

I think that it was straight red worthy but I don't think it was an eye gouge, I think he was either trying to push his face away with his hand or just try and grab the only part of Mauk available to him. I would expect his fingers to be positioned differently if he was trying to gouge his eye/eyes.Did he really eye gouge though? An eye gouge generally needs fingers to contact the eye lol
I agree straight red though
I'm sure Reegs has deep regrets but without knowing what was said, who's to say whether anyone else would have reacted differently in that situation.

Theres calls for the MRP to look at elsey for pulling Mauk ip while unconscious.
No way!
Its clear nobody knew Mauk was out apart from Isaias, his own players tried to pull him up even the ref had shown him a red while unconscious.
There is quite a bit poor reporting from the incidents in this match. An eye gouge without actually going near the eye, apparent thug players attacking a player they knew was unconscious .... even though the moment it was clear he was out all players called for the medicos.
Little to no coverage of the conduct of the aloisis or mauk
Sadly we live in a world of clickbait and lazy reporting

He had his fingers on his face, and was going for the eyes. Let's not sugarcoat that, it was a dog act.
