I hope that's the case, but the fact we havent even put a contract to him yet it would seem at long odds.

Paul Marchetti even threw out the line that a high ranking Reds official blamed him for the clubs injury woes. If that's the case then who the **** knows what's going on.

Who says the club haven't approached him, and he's told them to come back when they've signed a striker?
Everyone's just guessing or making things up.

I choose to think the club are playing their cards close to their chest (because it's good business sense) and will announce signing a good foreign striker and the re-signing of Kurz at the same time.
(I'll probably end up disappointed, but at least I'll be happy instead of miserable in the mean time!)

Nah good business sense is to release all info publicly to keep fans who need to know whats going on informed which then offers the club nothing to stand on as they've shown all their cards. :D

So weve approached Mark Rudan......

According to Val. He's contracted for 2 seasons so it seems extremely unlikely. I wouldn't mind us going for an ex-NPL coach though if we are going to change.

The only way I think Rudan would leave is if the club is in danger. Hes done a great job thus far.

Mori's name will be linked with every job until he gets one, with 2 new clubs and Brisbane looking I'm sure he will end up in one of them. That said, I think Kurz will end up at a new club too...... the vibe isnt right.

Would be nice to have an Australian coach 12/13 was the last season AU had one.
If Viddie and Ante Kovacevic (who I believe is still with the club) are driving the club long term I think signing a relatively inexperienced coach at HAL level willing to roll out the grand plan could be a good formula.

I think it will be a mistake if we let Kurz go.

I thought that with Gombau, worked out alright

Gombau's leaving was a shock and the following season under Amor we were bottom till round eighth when that run of 13 wins from 18 into the finals saved us all.
Amor's last season before Kurz was a mess.

What I'm saying is that stability is always a good thing at a football club and changing trainers, styles and systems every couple of seasons is not my idea of stability.

But what can we do?
If he goes, he goes and then we see where the Grand Plan ®™ takes us.

Yep you're right, Val just tweeted about it.
