Glad this is sorted, now we can start the search although I'm guessing that search had already begun.

We should go all in for Alen Stajcic.

We should, but I reckon that ship has sailed.

Call me controversial, but I imagine Piet and the board have already agreed terms with a Dutch coach.

As long as its not Vidmar or Aloisi

If its them i will not be going to any games - see the others do the same

Coach better be a top notch Australian or Overseas coach

But unfortunately i see more of the same penny pinching --- we seem to be the Southhampton of the Hyundai A-League

I think I’m very much in the minority here, but I’m not overly bothered by the end result. The football the last two years has been pretty dire, so hopefully we can get someone in who’ll make us a bit more proactive and entertaining.

Would’ve been good to ideal to avoid the public back and forth which makes everyone look a bit stupid, but alas, wouldn’t be an Adelaide United season without some kind of shambles playing out.

Wont matter who the coach is if the board and owners keep giving them 16-18yo's, with a couple of experienced players over 30 and nothing else. I have not enjoyed watching AU at all this year but how can I blame Kurz when he has never had more than 60% of a squad. I mean 2 CBs in the entire squad is a joke and sums up "the support" Piet and Co have given him. I nearly threw up when Piet said they will continue to back Marco till June- geez I'd hate to see how they would not back him if they think they have been.

So my predicition for 19/20 is.
Gone - AP, Lia, Goodwin, Galloway, Izzo, Baba, Elsey, Jacobsen, Blackwood, Isaias, Halloran, Mileusnic, basically anyone good enough to leave or retire.
Stay- Marrone, Jordy
In - 16 year old youth x 18, 2 Chinese from Qindao, Cheap as chips dutch coach
Everyone for V17 of the AU.

I also agree.

The owners inherited a lot of contracts and I'm going to wait and see what they do with this "clean slate" before I throw my toys out of the cot.

As expected. Not sure what to make of the club anymore, but there’s no other top level club around here so I guess I’ll stick with them.

We seem to say it a lot, but this is arguably the most important off season in our history.

We've sacked a coach because he didn't fit with our vision for the future, so this 'vision' had better become clear. The selection of said coach is important, I would like Mori to be seriously considered if we are worried about being local.

Also, if Kurz is the only man to suffer this fate then the whole thing was a waste of time. New coach, new fitness staff, new head of football, new recruiting manager.... the whole thing. Our failing as a club isn't just on the coach.

If they get it right we can make huge strides as a club, get it wrong and we are in a world of pain.

Yeah I’ll wait to see what this ‘vision’ is and what resources the ownership throw behind it before I crack a wobbly.

But even if it is a piss take I’ll still be a fan. If there are still mariners fans then I’m sure I can stick through this pissant towns team.

Yep!

I think kurz needs to be praised also. He caught the last season of an ownership looking to offload the club and the first season of a new ownership waiting for old contracts to expire.

Kurz has his critics but things could have been CCM esque had he not been here IMO
