This is getting messy, I was worried of all the breakdown in stuff when the Vidmar quitting story came out. I cant help but feel that its played a big part, the new owners would of been expecting Vidmar to be their main conduit to run things.

The way the club has treated Kurz is not good enough, but likewise I never feel comfortable with a coach putting things out into the media like that while we are still playing, it just puts the season at risk and that affects us the fans.

I think he has every right to answer the press's questions truthfully.
He is the one the getting farked over.

Yes and no.

He's being thoroughly unprofessional now IMO. Carrying on like he's bigger than the club, he isn't. You don't air your dirty laundry in the public domain, and if he has indeed spoken to Brisbane then that's a bad look on him.

But on the flipside, the communication channels seem to be non-existent if you are to believe Marco.

The truth is somewhere in the middle.

I 100% support Kurz calling out the club here. 'Unprofessional' is the owners not returning his messages.
If there is a relationship breakdown between the owners & the coach he is absolutely entitled to bring this into the open (and as a supporter I would much rather not have ugly truths swept under the carpet).

If I'm a boss and that's how my employee acts, he's done. Sometimes it's not what you say but how you say it.

Also, who's to say Kurz is right ??

He's acting like a spoilt brat, how's about you concentrate on coaching the side rather than bitching about next year. One thing I will agree with him on is the state of our Playford facility........ that is completely unacceptable on the council's behalf and they'd want to be much much better come pre season.

If you're a boss and you treat your employee like shit, they should be free to say so.

I'm not saying Kurz is right (there could be plenty more to the story) but so far he's come across as a passionate guy who speaks his mind, and I see no reason to doubt what he said (and he wasn't bitching, he was answering a question that has been on everybody's lips).

Our owners are a bunch of faceless men that nobody knows anything about, we were all so quick to stick the knife in Griffin and co but I have seen nothing to suggest (beyond a few platitudes from VdP) that this bunch are any more invested in the culture of the club & connection with the fans.

He was bitching and has been a lot of the year. You can call it passion but as I said it's always about how you say things rather than what you say.

I want to hear more from Piet, somewhere in between what we get now and the rubbish we got from Griffin. I'm very disappointed with what they've dished up publicly thus far.

The whole thing is a mess from both sides.

I disagree that he has "been bitching", no way.

He supposedly has a meeting with the management after the game.
We will see what happens.

So, let's just agree to disagree on this point.

The advertiser has reported that Kurz has been told he will not be coaching us next year.

https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/fo ... 1d95547f2c

Marco has done an amazing job with the squad he has had, sad way to go but I guess the owners have their own direction and it appears it is local youth which I must say Is good to hear in a way and scary in another if they don’t have the right leaders to shape them.

Thankyou Marco and all the best.

Yep, club email just arrived. Probably the best thing given the situation at present. He's done well by the club and brought us silverware so he'll be remembered with affection. Interested to see which way we head now. Local coach?

Kurz has done an amazing job with a constantly depleted squad during his reign. If only he had that striker and a 10 i feel we may have been talking about a kurz dynasty.

I think its been clear for quite a while that the club is waiting for contracts from the old ownership to expire before putting their touch on the club which is fine and probably the best for the long term.

However, the part of the email where they said they will continue to support kurz for the remainder of the season was kinda like.... are you kidding!? A positive first half of the season totally undone by literally bot supporting the manager in the transfer window.

Anyways, heres to the next revolutionary , saviour , false dawn etc next season
