Losing Mirko stops that Lia change. Odds are against us but it could go either way

Adelaide United 0 - 1 Perth Glory
We have to be careful we don't cop a goal.
and that is what happens...
Perth score from a corner.

And Izzo makes a good save from a Perth counter attack.
Lucky, very lucky...

And that's all she wrote.
Perth score a second on the counter.

Terrible game and a team performance that got worse as it went on. Kurz took far too long to sub Lia off in particular.

Re: Adelaide United v Perth Glory Match Day Jamboree!!!©
Far too many very poor players today.
Lia and Galloway both had shockers.
Halloran and Jakobsen were a bit better but still nowhere near good enough.
Izzo's distribution was woeful, made some very good saves but needs to massively improve his distribution.
Stamatelopoulos should not be playing A-league, did okay but really need a better option.
Ilso was excellent off the bench like he was in the cup final. Don't know why he was so bad when he started last week but if he can play like he did the last two times he has been substituted on as a starter he will be a huge asset.
Goodwin seemed to be playing inside most of the game. Quite often in the first half Boland was wider than him. Boland has played a far bit as a left winger but it is very strange to see Goodwin play more centrally. He almost seemed to be playing at DM at the end of the game.
Need to bring in Ilso and Konstandopoulos for Lia and Boland next week. Look at playing Kitto on the RW ahead of Halloran as well.

We so badly need to find someone who can unlock things in possession because we are incredibly turgid with the ball at the moment. Our complete reliance on Goodwin to create anything is very unsustainable.
To start the season with 3 home games and only take two points is...let’s say sub optimal

I don’t think we were bad at all. I’d say in possession we were better, but as many people have said we aren’t a complete team. Stama is great but we need a striker. Lia is fitter than ever and is serviceable but he makes a slightly detrimental impact. We need a striker, and a number 10 in front of Isa and Boland.
