IMO this is another example of the new owners recognizing the past of the club. Fantastic initiative on many levels.

Incidentally, if Stama has another decent hit-out against Perth (assuming he starts, which must be a reasonable chance) then going forward we may be afforded the luxury of using Baba as a super-sub. That starts to add some serious depth off the bench, especially once Blackwood gets back to match-fitness.
Yeah i hope going forward ( supposing baba does recover ) that we use his as nothing more than a super sub, let blackwood and AP fight it out as starters as its very clear babas body is no longer up to regular game time.

This team could be absolutely leathal if we had the same striker for 2 months straight allowing them and the players around them to gel.

Goodwin will head into camp with the Socceroos on Monday and is expected to be released the day after Australia meets Lebanon on November 20 in Sydney.

Im starting to wonder if goodwin will even be at the club post january.

I am sure he would back himself if another european club came knocking or if the riches of asia made an offer he cant refuse.

On the bright side he does command a fair salary so we should be able to replace him, possibly with a visa player if isaias’ citizenship goes through.

A couple of interesting stats:
Adelaide have lost only one of their last nine meetings with Glory at Coopers Stadium. (The 5-0 loss a couple of seasons ago)
Andy Keogh has scored in each of the opening three rounds this season and boasts five in his last six against Adelaide.

This will be a massive test for us. I am optimistic that we can get the win but this will be a tougher game than the Sydney games imo. I'm so keen to see how we go and to see where we're at.

I think it would be unwise for him to even consider leaving in January.
We all know that if he maintains his form he is a sure bet for the national team but if he leaves and gets stuck on the bench somewhere again then he can kiss the Socceroos goodbye.

I believe that the opportunity to play at the AFC Asian Cup tournament would be a huge incentive for him to stay at AU for this season at least.

And let's not underestimate the "pull" that family has.
Maybe he will never leave AU because living and working in Adelaide tick all the boxes for him. :D
