Thought that CCM had a fair shout for a pen for that handball.
Chest onto the post, the rebound off the post makes it look like it came off his outstretched arm. I thought it was a penalty as well until I saw the slo-mo via VAR.

My opinion,

K.Konstandopolous>Ilso

For so many reasons, form, ability, age, nationality, cost and the future.

Boland, Konstandopolous and Isaias are our best midfield trio.
Surely you mean Nathan?

Good victory, but we were made to look better than we were.

Undefeated so far this season, cup champions and done it all without ( more or less) a senior striker.

Im not concerned about Ilso. Chelo, isaias pablo were all written off early and by round 6-9 they were dominating.

That being said Ilso is not a traditional 10 so our expectations may need to be altered as to what his role is under kurz. We certainly wont see him playing the same way carussca has for example

He plays the whistle rather than waiting for the foul to be called; I like that, It is a hunger that is often missing from our #10s,

That was my view. Didn't hit his arms at any time even though they were flailing around.

What I didn't agree with was the reasoning given by the ref: that it did hit his arm but it was unintentional.

That is such a grey area and we see it given more often than not, particularly when the arms are away from the body (I know by the letter of the law the arm position is irrelevent).

If it was deemed to have hit his arms and stopped a goal but was "unintentional" then it is a penalty every day of the week imo.

Ilso looked good on Tuesday night coming on for Lia but I think it was more a case of a defensive player making way for an attacking player.

Good game, 3 scrappy goals but some nice build up. Kitto should have scored twice, put it down to rust and maybe a short pass from Halloran. Thought that CCM had a fair shout for a pen for that handball.
+ 1,000

Konsta was fantastic today. Would rather see him over Lia and Ilso any day of the week.

Pity Kurz doesn't share this view.

Yes, fixed my post. I normally just write Konsta for Nathan and when I wrote N.Konstandopolous it autocorrected to K which I must of written once or twice when mentioning his brother.

Ilso may come good but hard to justify giving him starts when you've got Konsta and Lia both performing solidly.

Marco Kurz speaks.

After the game is before the game.

Sorry, taped the game and watched late last night, so didn't want to read this thread till this morning.

What I liked about Kurz was that he wasn't happy with the wasted opportunities towards the end. But he addresses it in a 'learning moment' kind of way, rather than a 'telling off' kind of way.
He took the time after the game (instead of just celebrating a good win, pat on the back stuff) to get Mile's full attention (held his head in both hands, look into my eyes kind of thing) and explain what it was that he wanted done differently by him. Then the same with Kitto. From the press conference sounds like he did the same with Goodwin too. Each one given a personalised tutorial.
That's a man who's driving each player to be the best player they can be.

Fair enough. I do agree though. Play blokes in form.
