The first game for the year I have been able to see live, and it wasn't shabby

Goody and Izzo for me.......then it is tough. Lia, Jakobsen, Strain and Boland looked good and I thought Halloran worked hard for a player out of position.

Goodwin & Marrone for me. The third is tough ... Izzo was good BUT his distribution is atrocious and he's shaky under pressure. Boland was good BUT he goes down way too easily. Isaias was good BUT there were a couple of underhit passes. Gave it to Jakobsen in the end.

Yeah I've been surprised with Izzo's distribution this season. It was an area of his game I think has dropped a tad. Although he wasn't helped last night by being placed under a lot of pressure by the pass backs to him. A number of times booting it out was really his best option.

Goodwin, Boland and Lia for me.

I didn't vote for him but a plug for Galloway - think he has been very solid both going forward and in defence in these first 3 games. I had my doubts early on but he has been good.

If I am super critical he is a bit too right-footed for a LB when he needs to cross into the box, however his ball into Halloran which got layed off to Goody for the winner was a great left-footed cross.

Goodwin and Boland clear top two for me. Toss up between Lia and Isaias for 3rd.
