On the Lia v Konsta debate, I think Lia’s defensive solidity makes him more attractive for these games we’re missing genuine attacking options to stretch well organised sides.

Yeah Lia is probably better defensively but we have a bloke called Isiais thats a pretty good DCM.
Also defensively is not where we struggle. Konsta has some energy at least.
The other thing is Konsta will be a better footballer in 30-50 games time, Lia wont.

I recall him saying in an interview when he signed that he's happy to play anywhere up front. But I think that's something the whole side needs to work on. Obviously Halloran isn't going to be the same large presence like a Baba would be. Newcastle expected AU to play more counter attacking which is generally the only time AU was dangerous.
