The new era starts tonight.
Fill the place and give the Smurfs a taste of what's to come Cup final night.
Control the midfield and dont give their front half a chance to cut through us, because they will.

Is the Corica era just picking up where Arnie left off? The only game time I've seen from their FFA Cup & preseason is when they scraped past Cairns FC. I read that the 3-0 against Wanderers flattered them, too ..
My hope is that their new signings haven't gelled yet .. but ours have.
De Jong should be a f*cking beast in this league, on paper ... then again, so should Diawara, Ilso & Boland.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Just posted in the preview thread, Diawara's out due to 'soreness'.
Can't go on much longer can it?

No baba no blackwood
I suspect ilso will play up front and Lia will slot in midfield. I feel this will be a regular thing this season

arrrrgghhhh fucken.
If Ilso is to play up front I would prefer a midfield more like
------------Isaias----------
----Konsta---Boland
but can understand a more defensive Lia---Isa partnership.
If Ilso goes down, do we have a real option up front at all then? Big Reegz or Elsey as the point man? (only half joking here btw)

Of course Baba is out
Becoming laughable.
If he has the same start to this season as last season he needs to be moved on in January.

And so Baba's extended LSL continues, only interrupted by a couple of social kick-arounds. FFS!!! We pay this guy and he's 'sore'! Me too.

My two bobs' worth ... 2 - 0 our way. I don't think that the Smurfs are as good as they brag they are. Their FFA Cup matches have been flaky at best. Our wing attackers will be frighteningly good this season; I'll make the early prediction that most of our goals will come from crosses into the box to meet Ilso or Boland.
As to Baba ... I agree that his time is drawing to a close. The club has been incredibly patient with him, as it was with Absalonsen, but like the Absalonsen situation, he got far more out us than we got out of him. Time to move on, Baba; sorry it never worked out.

Baba is a joke. Hasn't he played the last 3 pre-season games and now he has 'soreness' when the season proper starts?
Bullshit. Just bullshit.
