FFA Cup Quarter Final: APIA Leichhardt Tigers vs Adelaide United
Marco said in his presser that everyone bar Nikola and Margush will travel over and everyone travelling over is fit to start.

Need to see some genuine class from this game.
Ill be concerned if we win ugly again

I felt AU were pretty classy against CCM in the R32 game. But I agree a battling win against a side AU should be clear favourites against would be a concern.Need to see some genuine class from this game.

Set up the same as last ffa cup, ffa frothing at the idea of a sydney derby final. Us as the guys to ruin it again. Guaranteed another ffa cup final in sydney no matter what from here though. Apia, wsw or sfc.

I disagree.
It is a Cup game and form and individual quality differences usually go out the window.
I expect Apia to park several buses, to close down quickly in their own half, to kick the scheisse out of us and to generally make themselves a nuisance rather than trying to "play football".
They will try to steal it on the counter or through a set piece while "playing" for extra time and penalties.
We will not be able to "play" as we wish or as we expect so if we win ugly, we win ugly, no big deal.

Any word on what Nikola has done? Must be a major injury.

From what I understood from the interview with Kurz it seems to be a problem with his heel from last season.

I'll definitely take a bad win over the alternatives!I disagree.

One thing I found interesting about last season, 6 of the 10 losses AU had last HAL season was by 1 goal. With a number of those goals in those games coming around HT and FT. With a more solid pre-season under most of the squad's belt this year I'd like to think they will run halves out better and not concede goals at crucial periods. Add 3 to 6 points to AU's season total where those crucial goals don't go in and the result goes another way and the club is in the mixed for a top 3 position and the finals series becomes that much easier.
I realise that's a lot of shoulda, coulda, woulda, but that does fill me with more excitement for the coming season and the more clean sheets we see in competitive games like tonight the happier I'll be heading into the HAL season.

Finally got around to watching the Ken Ilso interview. Man, he is already annoyed with Val.
Here’s a wild question. Does anyone know a good venue to watch A League in Hanoi, Vietnam?

Looks to be our best XI. Excited to see what formation we play. AP seems to have overtaken Blackwood as back up striker.

Agree, that's our best XI, maybe Marrone for Strain dependant on their current form.

Marrone can be a bit of a hot head in the Cup games
