I concur with the thoughts on Kurz for the most part. I remember last season where we'd put in a decent shift, then the next week barely turn up. Annoying.

I thought I'd chime in to say the Kurz years have been defined by unwatchable and naive football. I don't like the style at all and, while we will be competitive, I don't think it can win us anything

I'm in...
I think Kurz is a "player's trainer".
Someone who backs his team 100% to do the match day job he has set out for them but if things go wrong he takes the full responsibility as trainer/manager.
Not every manager has that attitude / quality.
I believe the players respect that and it helps to build a strong basis for the team to compete from.
How many weeks still to go?
5 or 6 weeks?
Far out...

Liking this discussion. Personally I'm liking what appears to be a more pregmatic and professional approach to thing from the club under Kurz. I think the Lions match is a good example of that.
Sadly the club is still very good at isolating their striker. So regardless of who plays that position they are going to have a hard time of it finding opportunities to score. Hopefully once the squad and can a good level of fitness we'll see that change.

I think Boland is the key here. If he turns out to be a genuine box to box guy who can get on the end of things and score a few goals, much in the way Mauk did during THAT season, then that will take the pressure of the CF.
He showed good signs of this against CCM but basically went missing in the Lions game for whatever reason.

I'm happy with Kurz as long as he gets results. IMO we need to be top 4 this season, or it's a failure.
