Walkout song
Being interstate, I only ever make a game or two at Hindmarsh each season. Has this ever been played as a walkout song? https://youtu.be/SPlQpGeTbIE
Would be appropriate I reckon.

Re: Walkout song
Great song... Junior Senior rule.
I would love something more local ... how bout Exploding White Mice - Burning Red (a bit obscure I know)
Otherwise go with Angels / Chisel / Hilltop Hoods for stuff that people will know & sing along to.
Lazaro's Dog - Home Entertainment System has a good vibe to it I reckon...
wonderwall can bite one.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
Re: Walkout song
Yeah I cringe when Wonderwall is played. I used to like the song but not anymore!

Re: Walkout song
It's just that it is almost the definition of 'generic epic singalong song' ... I wonder how many football clubs around the world, or their fans, use it? A hundred? Might as well do YNWA while we're at it.

I love wonderwall!
If only we can get the whole stadium singing it it will give goosebumps imo

Yeah I cringe when I hear Wonderwall too. It's doubly bad now as Melbchester use it too.
Local would be great for sure, hilltop hoods are the bees knees and would make great regular summer party vibes at Hindy.

That song was used quite a bit back in the glory days of 12500 avsrage crowds. Love it.

Re: Walkout song
I think that the song to "warm up" the crowd at Cooper's Stadium should be the INXS song,"We are United." This was a song that celebrates the youth of Australia and performed years ago near Parliament House in Canberra for an Australia Day concert. It is a most appropriate song and it is uniquely Australian with lyrics like,"We are United" in Australia. It is catchy and I can envisage the crowd taking to it and singing it with gusto, especially if the lyrics are beamed on to the electronic scoreboard. It lends itself to promotional television adverts where a shortened version of the song incorporating only the chorus of,"We are United" is used. Those lyrics could could also be used in newspaper/internet/magazine promotions for the club. Of course, the song could be adapted to include the name of our fair city and a shortened version of the whole song could be played before the game. The song could be introduced with a live version played by one of Adelaide's leading bands before the first game.I have actually written to the club with this suggestion. I have never liked the dreary song that is "Wonderwall" and the crowd at Coopers (Red Army excepted) have not really taken to it either. The song has absolutely no connection to the club and should be scrapped. Anyway, please check out,"We are United" by INXS on Youtube.

Re: Walkout song
This has always been the one I've liked, not least as it is the most relevant for our club (this version is pretty wild).
Hang around for the comment from one of the band at the very end of the song

Re: Walkout song
I've always been annoyed the club or the Red Army have never picked up 'Bound For South Australia'. It's a sea shanty. It's a perfect football song.
If anyone wants to get a big chorus of it going in the stands, I am 1000% in.

I seem to remember you posted it the last time this topic came up blahblah and Old Greg has seconded it.
The Pogues and "Bound for South Australia" have my eternal vote.
