Re: Walkout song
Has anyone taken the time to check out my suggestion ( "We are United" by INXS)? I would be interested to hear what people think about it. I really think that it would be a great choice. It also lends itself to Adelaide United using the slogan,"We are United" in television/radio advertisements, on club correspondence, banners, flags etc. Most appropriate song I would have thought. My fear is that any expansion team entering the league with "United" in its name, will snap this up and we miss out. This would a great way for the new owners to continue putting on their distinct stamp of influence on the club.

I did.
No offense but I did not last long.

I like the chorus but not so much the verse. I'd support a shortened version with more of that.Has anyone taken the time to check out my suggestion ( "We are United" by INXS)? Pogues is good, Hoods would be better.
Wonderwall belongs with Ricky Martin - Cup of Life.
INXS would be a bit copycat at this point in South Australian sporting history....

It's pretty clear we need to make more of an effort to make Marco feel at home. Hard German techno needs to be used!

Righto, that Teenage Fanclub song I threw up above was just warming you up for this. Magic song and even references the red army! In my dreams a 30k capacity Hindmarsh would be belting this out pre game. Even an appropriated version, it's an anthem https://youtu.be/aSwseEpUKf8

Re: Walkout song
Interesting that the club is asking for suggestions for a walkout song (Survey). It is good to see that the new owners are making all the right moves since acquiring the club. So go to it guys are make your serious suggestions for the club to consider. I hope that it finally means the end of that moany and awful song that the club has played during the last few seasons. My apologies to the Red Army, but their suggested song just HAS NOT engaged the crowd at Cooper's Stadium. It has no significance to the club at all. I am still hoping for a reworked/shortened version of "We are United" by INXS. I would adapt it shortening it and by removing the middle part of the song where the song slows down to a standstill and replace it with a drum beat followed by the,"Adelaide........United, Adelaide...........United" chant that we hear from the fans at Coopers Stadium every match.

Re: Walkout song
I think it's been played before KO here and there in the past. Great tune.Being interstate, I only ever make a game or two at Hindmarsh each season. Has this ever been played as a walkout song? https://youtu.be/SPlQpGeTbIE
Would be appropriate I reckon.

Re: Walkout song
I see in the survey they are asking for suggestions for a "goal song".
Please God no!!!
There's nothing more atmosphere destroying than a song suddenly blaring out over the PA after a goal and drowning out the crowd at it's loudest point during a match.
A well timed Red Army rendition of "Hey Keeper!!!" will do me fine thanks.

Re: Walkout song
That is a good suggestion Chilly Philly. Bright, catchy, upbeat and has the word,"United" in it. Like my suggestion,it would "warm up the crowd" before the kickoff.
