Great summary. Here's hoping Ilsòöō can finish all the good balls we seems to do so well at getting into the attacking area.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I am still here
I'm sad because you have a lot of great football knowledge. Try not to get too riled up and just enjoy the game.

Strain does have that arrogant streak, little bit is fine but he does need to realise he has a team around him, and that he isn't the only guy on the pitch.

One major positive from that match-

We have someone who can put in a decent cross finally!

Every cross from Goodwin last night curled and dipped beautifully just waited to be headed home. There can be no excuses about strikers not getting the service they need. AP got on the end of a few of them and got 2 assists but there were a couple of goals he probably should of scored too.

I thought it was interesting to have Lia start over Konsta but with an inexperienced striker leading the line it made sense to have experienced players around him.

Jury is still out on Ilso, game was already over when he came on. Mirko was good, really impressed with him so far, looking forward to seeing him adapt to the team. Galloway was solid and made good runs. Strain isn't a starter for me yet but is definitely on my bench. Jakobsen is rock solid, big improvement over Gulum. Kitto does 90% right then let's himself down with the last 10%, good runs but a heavy touch here or a mishit cross there ruins all his good work.

Good game against a poor team. Another long season for CCM I'd say.

Couldn't help but smile the first time I saw Isa and Goodwin over the ball at a free kick.

If the big fella, or even Georgie get on the end of some of the crosses from Goody, we will score plenty.

One thing that did stick out last night is that we are still laughably bad at playing it out from the back majority of the time. For some reason, the two non-Isa mids stay so high up the pitch that they are impossible to find as passing options, and we telegraph the gk to cb to fb movement so bad that even the mariners were able to press and trap us effectively quite often.

I didn’t understand it last year and still don’t.

Wow,great start! I'm on a Greek island so I missed the game but from the comments it looks like we have the makings of a good competitive team.
Roll on the new season.
