Kurz to Sydney FC
Val tweeted last night that Sydney FC are in talks with Kurz for a 3 year deal. 442 pretty much confirmed it in an article this morning.
Not sure why our new owners would release a successful coach mid contract, I hope its not a sign of things to come from these guys.
Edit- a poor attempt at an april fools joke, there was no val tweet or 442 article. I do think it's a topic worth discussing though.

The fanbase would be pretty pissed off if this happens.

Re: Kurz to Sydney FC
The rumour has been around for a month now.
Imo sfc are a declining power, their aussie players are getting older and some key visa players are off contract.
Adelaide is a club on the rise with more money and a wider scouting network for next season.
I dont see much reasons for him to leave apart from money.
Im sure piet understands if we were to lose Kurz and Isaias in the offseason it would be a huge blow to public opinion of the new ownership.

Yes it was a poor attempt at an april fools joke, there was no Val tweet or 442 article. Is this an April fools thing?
The second part of my post still stands though and I am interested in other peoples thoughts on the rumors. I think its all a blow up by fox sports but they have been right before... maybe?

I think its a fox blow up.
They initially broke the story a few days after the high of the new ownership news.
There has been little talk of corica, rudan and eveb vidmar who just knocked back the nix, theae guys imo would be the front runners.
I have no doubt they may have enquired about kurz ( as they should ) but fox are also VERY click baity

I think it would be stupid and careless of AU to loose Marco Kurz to another a-league club after just one season.
There are enough coaches and trainers over here and Sydney should just come over and find it's own...

Re: Kurz to Sydney FC
I guess it would come down to if Kurz wanted to go.
I doubt AU would want him to leave, so them ending his contract is unlikely.
I'm not sure if there is a rule of transfer fees for coaches? As they aren't allowed for players. But I can't really see that happening either.
So the only chance would be if Kurz pulled a Lustica and demanded to leave.
Not that I know Kurz at all, but he doesn't appear to be the sort of person to do that.

Re: Kurz to Sydney FC
So gombau just got the sack!
Seriously wsw have no idea, what did they expect asking gombau to overhaul a squad not suited to his style mid season.
Anyway, if Kurz leaves I hope the new ownership understand what a Gombau return would do for aufc moral.

Re: Kurz to Sydney FC
Also, the many aufc favourites that are rumoured to be signing with wsw to link up with gombau are now left with something to think about if they havnt signed already

Would definitely be keen on getting Gomby back if Kurz leaves.

Re: Kurz to Sydney FC
If we lost Kurz I don't think Gombau is the answer, as much as I loved the bloke here.
Re: Kurz to Sydney FC
Not sure why fans would even be entertaining the thought of Kurz leaving.
It's a whole new era at the club now, no-ones entirely sure what that exactly means yet but how about fans start demanding service and loyalty for a start and demanding hanging on to quality players and coaches and following through with implementing their visions. Time to grow up Adelaide and stop expecting the worst as it just becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.

Re: Kurz to Sydney FC
Stupidly short sighted of WS Wanderers to ditch Gombau like this as they would have reaped the benefits of his work next season.
Kurz is going nowhere.
Adelaide is the perfect fit for him and now with the new owners everything is possible.
